As the battle in the consciousness space continued, the Sentry grew increasingly manic, abandoning the restraints he had once maintained out of fear of the void within him.

This was precisely what Luke wanted.

The more recklessly the Sentry unleashed his power, the quicker his void counterpart would merge with him. After all, the void was merely a secondary personality born from the Sentry's inability to control his own power.

Once their fusion was complete, the Sentry would achieve his true form. However, the dominant personality of this unified being would depend entirely on which side was more cunning.

Meanwhile, the void—manifesting as a dark specter within the space—watched the Sentry's unrestrained display with an ever-widening grin.

"Yes, that's it. Stop suppressing our nature. Unleash the full extent of our power!"

"I am you. Only by merging can we become the most powerful version of ourselves."

Though the void had reluctantly agreed to cooperate with Luke, it harbored its own ambitions. It intended to use Luke to further its agenda, biding its time until it could take complete control of the Sentry's body and power.

"When that moment comes, I will be like a god." The void mused to itself, "Even this strange interloper will be beneath me, and the entire world will be mine to command."

The void chuckled at the thought, its laughter echoing ominously. However, it failed to notice Luke's calm, calculating gaze fixed on it as he casually observed the ongoing battle.

To Luke, the Sentry was nothing more than a tool—a combat unit to serve his purposes. He had no interest in the Sentry's original trajectory of growth or his struggles to become a true hero.

All Luke wanted was to force the Sentry's main and secondary personalities to fuse, using external pressure to expedite the process.

"Is this all you've got?" Luke taunted, "You're not even strong enough to scratch me!"

Sentry, though enraged, began to regain some composure. Yet his anger only deepened as the void within him began to manifest physically, twisting and writhing before being drawn back into his body.

This was the void's moment. It extended dark tendrils, infiltrating the Sentry's form. The golden sheen of the Sentry's hair darkened into an inky black, and his combat uniform followed suit. The only part that remained unchanged was the glowing golden "S" on his waist.

Finally, the void thought triumphantly.

But just as it believed victory was assured, the Sentry's primary personality fought back. A fierce internal struggle ensued, with his blackened form beginning to return to gold.

"Why resist?" The void coaxed, "We are one. I can give you the power you desire!"

"If we unite, we will have everything. Haven't you grown tired of this hero charade?"

The Sentry's face contorted with conflict. His mental defenses were crumbling, and the void's whispers grew more insistent.

"Heroism is just a chain imposed on you by those weak, insignificant beings." The void sneered, "The moment you falter, they will cast you aside, erasing all the good you've done."

"When you were still a mortal, did you see the Hulk as a hero?"

The void struck a nerve. The Sentry had always harbored doubts about Bruce Banner and his monstrous alter ego.

"No! Dr. Banner isn't a monster. It's the Hulk's lack of control that causes chaos." Sentry argued, though his conviction wavered.

"Stop deluding yourself." The void countered, "Hulk and Banner are no different from us. The moment they lose control, they're vilified. Why bow to the whims of such ingrates? Why not establish absolute order and become gods in this world?"

It began painting a seductive vision: Destroying all weapons, eradicating war, and receiving unending adoration.

"You could have it all—absolute power, complete freedom. No one could stop you from indulging every desire."

The void's words struck at the core of the Sentry's insecurities and hidden desires. The cracks in his resolve deepened.

Outside, Nick Fury and his team observed the Sentry's physical form flickering between gold and black. The scene was alarming.

"Captain, prepare for containment. We may need to neutralize the Sentry." Fury ordered.

"I understand." Steve Rogers replied, raising the Green Lantern ring he wore. A brilliant green shield materialized around the Sentry, isolating him.

Fury's agents opened briefcases containing specialized gas bombs and concentrated sedatives. Even the Hulk wouldn't withstand the dosage they were about to deploy.

Under Rogers' direction, the agents released the chemical arsenal into the shielded space.

The sudden external attack shattered the Sentry's mental defenses. Believing Fury had betrayed him, the Sentry fully embraced the void.

The fusion was complete.

The transformation solidified as every trace of gold vanished, leaving only black. The new entity's eyes burned with golden light.

The void—now fully merged with the Sentry—threw back its head and laughed.

"I'm free at last!"

The Black Sentry had risen.
