“Love - great love stories” an original illustrated book!

So, this is the first time I write about this new project I’ve been working on for months! If someone of you remember some months ago I asked on my Tumblr which were your favourite love stories. Many of you answered and it’s thank to you if I’m doing this! The two illustrations you see above are dedicated to Orpheus and Eurydice myth. It’s heartbreaking and you know very well that if there is a bit of sadness I’m there! But, of course, my illustrated book won’t feature only Orpheus and Eurydice, but also Oscar Wilde and Robbie Ross (I have to!), John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Achilles and Patroclus, Dante and Beatrice, Rodin and Camille, Christine and the Phantom of the Opera, Rembaud and Verlaine, and many more. If you have suggestions, you’re welcome! The work is in progress and I’m launching a crowdfunding from Saint Valentine’s Day. The book will feature 50 unusual couples, each couple will have an illustration and its story narrated.

This is only a preview, but I wanted to tell you that for patrons who decide to support this crowdfunding (on Kickstarter from February 14th) I’ll draw an exclusive request you can do to me. This will happen if you give $1, $10 or $100, it’s a gift I do for you! No matter how much you’ll pay.

I’ll update you soon!

I was always interested in the Hades/Persephone story.

I’m thinking about the word “unusual”. I don’t know if it’s the correct one. I want to talk about great love stories, no matter who. The Obamas are a famous couple, for example. Like John Lennon and Yoko Ono, and others. Maybe am I wrong about the word? I could simply write “great love stories”!

I'm wondering how you decide a couple is unusual? Or do you just mean couples that are interesting in terms of dynamics? I mean, I never thought the Obamas were particularly unusual for instance. I'm not suggesting you not do this, if my question comes across that way. I like your art no matter the subject. I'm just curious how you pick the ones you pick. 🙂
