Monday Update - Finances, Transparency, and Future Games

Most of the work on the game the past week has been narratively driven, so I don't have any new art to preview just yet. As such, I wanted to take this opportunity to talk about the future of Devious Delight Games and Silk atCoS.
As many of you know, my ultimate goal for our games is not to make money, but to simply reach a point where they can fund themselves long term. We are far from that point, and to be completely transparent, Silk atCoS has been burning a hole in my pocket.
In spite of this, I remain optimistic that we will reach the point of self-sustainability soon, but it will take a new type of effort on my behalf. After much deliberation, I have decided on a new path forward that will hopefully please the majority of people: new games!
To be clear, Silk atCoS is my passion project and will always be top priority. However, by spending a bit of time creating new short stories with high quality writing and scenes, I can hopefully attract a bigger audience to Silk atCoS through osmosis. The more money I can dedicate to Silk atCoS, the more original art can be commissioned. So, what will these short stories look like? I'm glad you asked.
These new Devious Delight Shorts will be concise, diverse stories that get straight to the action, consisting of around five scenes and will be fully completable in around 15 minutes. They will consist of fetishes that are already found in Silk atCoS... you know the ones. I estimate that I will be able to fully create such a game in around a month or two max.
While I take some time to begin work on the first short entitled The Final Test, I will still be working on the next update for Silk atCoS as well so keep your eyes peeled for future updates!
