Birthday Quick Fic Poll: January 2025 (+ note)
Added 2024-12-25 00:13:07 +0000 UTCSo, birthday quick fics will be sticking around for 2025 (obviously, since this poll is happening.) But I'm going to scale back on them in the coming year, going from 4 a month to 1 or possibly 2, depending on circumstances. I've had a monthly minimum target of 5 monthly story posts at the quick fic tier, and I've at least hit that target every month as far as I'm aware. But in a month where I do 5 quick fic story posts, and 4 of them are birthday shorts, that limits what I can do at this tier outside of that.
Starting in 2025, I'm only going to guarantee that I write one monthly birthday quick fic; the winner of the one poll I'll run each month, obviously. Possibly I'll work in the first runner-up as well if I have time, but the winner is the only one getting written for sure. By scaling back on the birthday fics, I'll have more time to hopefully do multiple parts of Everyone Wants Harry each month, plus any other ideas that come into my head that I think would work well at this tier. So, I'll still be writing just as many quick fics as I have been; I'm just going to lower the prevalence of the birthday shorts among them. Hopefully my rambling is easy enough to understand, but if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
I should also mention that I'm not going to include any characters that got birthday quick fics during 2024 in the polls for 2025.
