Map Updates and Poll - FIXED POLL LINK!
Added 2019-02-21 14:00:40 +0000 UTCThe poll link was broken in my last message, so hopefully this one will work, apologies for the spam!
Griffin's Rest battle map updated files!
I was looking at yesterdays release and thought it would be a good idea to add another grassland variant. I know most of you will find that more useful than the desert base versions. So Tier 1 Patrons now get the Grassland Nest map as a bonus map, and Tier 2 Patrons get a bonus Grassland Cave/Crypt map. All map variants are in the zip files, enjoy!
- Tier 1 - Griffin's Rest - bonus grassland nest map.
- Tier 2 - Griffin's Rest - bonus grassland cave/crypt map.
Patron map suggestions list
Our current patron suggestions list is looking a little shorter, I'll soon want to get a new round of suggestions from all you lovely people! Its a short month and I have a busy week coming up, so I'll probably take on the Fortified Bridge or the Hedge Maze suggestions, as those are slightly less intense (work wise) then the city maps and the Fire Giant's Forge. But don't worry, I'll be onto those early next month! Here is the current list of Map ideas:
- Fire giant's forge (with lava!)
- Fortified bridge
- Greenhouse, hedge maze, stately house gardens
- Desert city streets
- City port
Poll and suggestions
I'd like to get an idea on what you all find most useful when it comes to maps and resources. I have a few ideas, but I really want your feedback on what to focus on.
- Animated Maps - Roll20 now supports video maps, so I'm thinking of starting to animate a few of my maps as bonus variants when I have time to fit them in. Depending on how well they go down they may become a more regular thing.
- PDF Map Notes - I already write up notes on my Launch post, but I'd like to start providing a PDF to help you out with ideas, notes on flavour text and maybe even start putting together simple encounters.
- Environment Map Packs - I'd like to create a few sets of basic maps for each type of environment a party often encounters. So for example, woodland, roadside, rocky, swamp and others.
You can vote on as many as you like, or comment if you have specific suggestions. If you prefer you can private message me instead. Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this and make yourself heard!
Comments
I voted for (a) map notes and (b) environment map packs. Plug-and-play encounters for the maps also sounds great! :)

2019-02-23 17:31:54 +0000 UTCMaybe some tokens for your maps? Or even connecting / second level maps? For a map suggestion, you could make something similiar to the Son Doong cave (which is basically a huge real-life cave with it's own forest, wildlife, rivers, ecosystem, clouds)?
