You guys likely forgot since it's been so long since you saw that episode before the hiatus on this series, but Roger pooped the Golden Turd back in season 1. The story before is that the guy in the pickup found it with his friend, he killed his friend for it, and then found out that his girlfriend was cheating on him after. So he killed himself out of grief and guilt. The Golden Turd is a long subplot that will randomly appear throughout the series, but it does have a satisfying ending, so try your best to remember what's going on.
