And since the late emperor and Ahdua have similar features already it would it would make sense that Jinshi strongly resembles them both in slightly different ways.

2025-07-24 02:23:58 +0000 UTCSo...its a coincidence that Jinshi looks like the late Emperor right? I'm in the "the babies got swapped" camp. He and AhDua are literally almost identical. But at the same time, its weird that he has such a striking resemblance to the late Emperor. He could be the sibling of two different people, that as far as we know share absolutely no lineage between the two of them, and one or the other has to be a parent. My brain hurts just trying to phrase this question, let alone hash out an answer 🙃

I love to see Jinshi can’t be normal “charming eunuch with sweet smile” 2-3 times because Maomao situation show how much he cares about Maomao. I love that we know more about Jinshi’s background but also so sorry for him that he thought that he was not the late emperor’s son all this time. Amazing reaction as always Flexie ;)

Back when Shisui was in the rear palace, MaoMao would question EVERYTHING about her. In the ghost story episode she said “She looks like someone”. In the bath episode she questioned her figure being fit for a concubine . Two episodes ago she questioned her access to expensive notebooks. From now on if MaoMao ever has a thought about someone it should never be looked over.

Notice there is one scene of a butterfly hatching in the OP. Could it be a foreshadow of, say, someone coming out of their cocoon? Also, the butterflies are all yellow. Maomao is represented by a small yellow flower. Coincidence? 🤷♂️ Stay tuned!

Jinshi manhandling the Loulan impersonator also reminded me of Maomao dragging and slapping the shit out of Concubine Lihua’s lady-in-waiting.

2025-06-18 19:44:31 +0000 UTCLahan's voice scratches something in my brain. It's so good. I think Maomao is the cat of the fox family. I believe they're portrayed as foxes not dogs but both Lakan and Lahan are portrayed that way. Also this whole episode had 0 lines from Maomao and we only saw that quick glimpse of her. I didn't realize it until the very end the first time I watched it. At no point was I wondering "when do we get to see Maomao?" because I was so intrigued with what was happening with Jinshi.

Since last? episode Au-dou was so similar to him that she played him in official business, but this time he keeps referring to the emperor as his brother and the fact that Jinshi looks just like the old emperor when he was young. 😅 So nice to get many puzzle pieces to fit now, these next couple of episodes are going to be SOOO exciting to see what will be revealed!

2025-06-18 18:45:50 +0000 UTCDing...ding....ding...ding...ding...you finally got it....I didn't put it together until the massage episode when Maomao brought Lady Lishu over..Shisui did a quickly turn and dipped out. I was like wait..why did she...ohhhh...she is Loulon. I watched a reaction of someone watching the first episode of season 2 and she said...that girl looks like Loulan. It has to be her....I am glad I didn't see that before I got it on my own, but WOW...very impressive. It was mentioned last season that Lakan adopted one of his or his only nephew, so he is blood related to him. And yes this show is so, so good. It should have won Anime of the year, or Frieren. They are both better than Solo Leveling and by a lot.

Tbh i missed it the first time around because it was such random info drop by lakan lol
