2025-05-03 20:40:03 +0000 UTCive been struggling w heartburn on and off for yearrrs- don’t lay down after eating, avoid fatty foods as well as acidic foods, eat slower and chew thoroughly, and if it persists see if you can get a prescription for antacids! they helped me a lot and are a bit safer than taking tums every day

Your stylized portraits would look even more epic painted. I think just starting with watercolors and adding them to what you already do in your sketchbook would be a great entry point into the medium, and adding more to the mixed-media plays well with your art style. Or, you could go balls to the wall and and just start painting all together. Either way, I’m sure you will make so many awesome paintings and I’m so so excited to see what else you create. Keep up the good work king 🫶🏻

I am not an expert, but I’m studying art. I find ur art has valuable qualities and it I felt a little pang to see them viewed as jokes. The ability to trust ur instinct, and not just SAY u do, is evident in ur work and is the sturdiest foundation. Go go go!!! So important that ppl who don’t consider themselves “artists” (artist does not exist as category of person) make art sincerely, with private ambition, according to their most inexplicable instincts. I would recommend letting go of any expectations and self-judgement. It's important to look at something you made and just say "wow! I made this! and I love it because I made it!". I picked up painting about a year ago and I have really improved since then without even realizing it. I just love the process sm and it's genuinely therapeutic. My reccomendations to start: 1. Buy some paintbrushes, acrylic paint (acrylic is best for beginners) and canvases. Cheap ones to start. 2. Watch technique videos on tiktok and youtube. 3. Tracing with a pencil on your canvas before you add paint can help tons.
