Random memory, but when I was a kid, I remember being confused by the relationship between the kid and his dad at the circus, in the Appa episode. The way the dad was talking to the kid and wouldn't share with him, it just didn't make any sense to me. My kid logic said that a parent would never act that way, so that guy must be his older brother or something... Like, there was no other explanation in my head at the time. It's not until a rewatch as an adult that I realized he was probably meant to be the dad. It's so odd to have those memories from when I was so innocent that an abusive parent wasn't a concept that could even exist.
