To answer your guys' question too, basically every show on CN got cancelled around this time for the new CEO they brought in (this show, KND, and Chowder being among them), they fired everyone including the executives, so everyone had to wrap their shows up prematurely. I think the reason that this ended so simply was because they were busy working on the first Billy and Mandy movie so most attention went into that. Maxwell Atoms, the creator, actually revealed a few years ago he wants to make an actual wrap-up movie and even showed some concept art and that it's gonna be a musical. We'll see if it ever gets to come out.. hopefully!!!

This is one of my favorite cartoons ever growing up and rewatching it now with you guys again I really think that solidifies that opinion. It's just so unique and clever. Like others have said you've got a few movies to watch for it at least and they're all on youtube so that's nice! Also I wanted to point out that the creator of billy and mandy has a tumblr account that he's still super active on, he just posted this month!
