Succubus Game V0.8
Added 2024-04-11 18:36:33 +0000 UTCGenerally simplified a bunch of things, trying to more consistently aim for a faster paced/shorter and less punishing game. Should be more intuitive now.
I think it generally plays a lot better now and more clearly shows what a more finished version would be like.
Changelog V_0.8 (called DemonDome for now):
Combat:
Removed Orbs/Pearls system.
Removed stances.
Instead, you have one deck of double/triple sided cards.
Many things let you learn blueprints for skills.
Combine multiple blueprints into a card to permanently add to your deck.
Enemies also operate on the same mechanic.
Can adapt to challenges/enemies etc by adding powerful temporary cards to your deck in the morning.
Stats:
Seduction win condition simplified.
Characters now start with LRes equal to their mental stat.
Climaxes lower the value. When at 0, next climax on your turn wins the fight.
Sexual actions are more connected to resources etc.
Simplified most sexual actions/status effects
When equipment gets destroyed, it stays equipped for easier repair and no longer loses permanent durability.
Npcs:
Relation to npcs is simplified into 5 points for friendship and interest.
Most interactions have a varied chance to increase either by 1.
When fighting, you may get special objectives to advance relations.
Npcs no longer keep track of relations between each other.
Instead they are more bundled into consistent roommates.
Night activities are either in your room or partners, giving access to different morning actions.
Other:
added many pictures. updated gallery/lore entries. (unlocked from start)
can show quick info for character equipment by holding Q/E
added ranger teacher.
more explore options.
added some info to save slots.
many bugfixes
many other changes/additions.

knowns bugs: if you close the blueprint selection at night training without choosing anything, you get stuck. (temporary fix: open journal and do a test fight/date to continue.)

Future direction/missing stuff
Add many upgrade paths/synergy options for skills.
Varied equipment for all characters with interesting passive abilities.
Cool creature bosses to hunt and final boss challenges, making use of the parts systems.
Rare creatures to track, collect and raise.
More personality/expression for characters.
More impactful relation bonuses/unlocks.
Enemy ai is quite bad currently and ignores many things.
Achievements/Unlocks and ascension systems.
Got a bit sidetracked with some ideas/changes I wanted to make to this game and didn't want to leave it in a weird half changed version to return to.
Now back to focusing on PoP until it's done.
Comments
The missing overseer will be a centaur, and I'll probably make overseers special unlockable characters eventually. New characters may come after many other updates.
