Changelog:
Combat:
- simple animations for movement/attack etc (things don't just teleport everywhere)
- smoother camera in ai turns
- damage numbers appear above characters
- quick tooltip for characters with most important combat infos
- Exp is based on encounter strength and split between your participating characters at the end
- high strength encounters give much more exp than easy ones
- seducing doesnt cost mana
- Characters can flee escapeable encounters individually for 1 ap (stand at edge of the map with no enemies nearby)
- your party won't be defeated if at least 1 character managed to flee
- If you win a battle, characters that fled won't get any exp, but still reduce the total exp pool
- loot can be seen at the end of battle
- you can recruit as many characters in battle as you want (you'll have to choose which to keep at the end)
(can also choose fleeing/injured ones that didn't participate)
- dismissing characters that just joined your team during this battle (or event before), doesn't have any negative impact on morale
- characters morale is affected by a battles outcome (won, fled etc.)
- ai uses more skills + some other improvements
- can let your characters be played by ai for the whole battle
- can start kinda fair random/practice battles from startmenu. (test how reliably you can keep your whole team alive in "fair" matches)
- every character can always move to neighbouring tiles (can't get stuck).
- min speed is reduced to 1 (from 2). Slow effects are more consistent
- movementcosts for difficult terrain increased (water/lava, non-slime for slime characters)
- can see specific movement values in character tooltip
Characters:
can toggle clothes for basespecies
varying bodypart sizes for basespecies
some updated art for some basespecies + lumira
2 new humanoid bosses (forest/plains)
a unique character
some tokens/summons
Other:
- Achievements/items/traits for bosses
- 30+ new skills
- some skills can be combined (2 selected focus skills when breeding e.g: Heal+Regenerate = Flashheal etc.) (most new skills can be found on at least one species naturally)
- can sell items from stash (hold alt), item tooltip contains sell value now
- only the first 30 eggs are shown
- home character roster split into pages of 10 characters each to reduce lag when opening
- 4 new world modifiers (2 were bugged and never showed up)
- 2 new personality types based around fleeing
- onmove passives trigger no matter how a character moves (skills etc.)
- non-instant spells also show ranges when hovered over
- display enemy ranges hotkey changed to "n"
- option to move camera by moving the mouse to the edge (g to center camera)
- updated some outdated library text/some tooltips
- during sextraining, the other character gets some exp for your actions based on your skilllevel and target
(e.g cock->pussy increases her pussy skills based on your cockskills*intensity)
- Genes for wild characters aren't generated separately anymore
- Each character will have a random amount of points which are randomly split among genes (can have 10 in one gene, but will most likely have all other genes very low then etc.)( point pool increases more with a portals' hostility)
- creatures stats increase more with level than others (similar to being 1 size bigger) to offset having no equipment
Creature-fusion:
- new simpler fusion menu at the farm (no need to assign characters to the farm)
- can fuse 2 of the same creatures (no morale requirement)
- result will have the highest genes of both and 0 exhaustion
- can also fuse any 2 humanoid characters with high morale
- tamer profession lets you fuse any 2 creatures
- can fuse anything after cheating
Balance:
- exp for sexskills increased for most activities /exp requirements also lowered/home sextraining time halved
- brothelscore affects individual girl' tips for non-gloryhole rooms. "single customer at a time" rooms are affected by the highest girls' score
- gloryhole rooms increase sexskills a lot faster
- early kingsquest for sextraining have lower target level
- early battle kingsuests start at lower target values (was bugged)
- starting kingsquest portal will always be a basic land portal
- skillpoint cost increase for repeatable basestats upgrades
- reduced early hp/mana upgrades for prince
- reduced plant mc-upgrades for creation
- a lot of small changes to skills
Noteworthy bugs:
- cave events weren't supposed to always have negative outcomes
- portals wealth/cost didn't accurately represent some portals (was calculated randomly before changing stuff for early/special portals)
- starting ap of summons was affected by ambushes
Summary/General ideas/reasons for gameplay changes:
- difficult battles are more rewarding than multiple easy battles
- should be more clear what the ai does during their turn
- using mana each combat for no other reason than to use it doesn't make sense anymore
- recruiting new characters in battles is objectively good
- flexibility/more control over skills
- seducing doesn't need to cost mana anymore, making lust more relevant for the player
- managing hp/mana/time in battles is now more important than managing xp
- much easier to train new characters later in the game, when you already have a good team
- easy to prevent partywipes at the cost of resources/morale
- using skills outside of combat isn't worse than using them in combat
I didn't add dating stuff yet, as i want to do some more and add them at the same time. So next update with dating/event focus should be sooner (maybe 2 weeks).
Comments
With more playing I have verified these caps only apply to growth with the virility and fertility potions. Can you remove this cap as potion usage is already limited to a fix number of uses, and if a character with a cock over 300cm uses the virility potion it will reduce them to 300cm.

2019-07-03 13:36:54 +0000 UTCA critique from another user who isn't on patreon: So after playing a bit of the most recent iteration of the game, here is my gripes. The king quest aspect of the game is clashing with other elements of the game. The iterations are too short, and the demands are too much for each category of quest given that each category demands different play styles to accomplish. I get that we need a failure state, but the failure state shouldn't rely on RNG of getting the "right" quests. Scouting and combat in maps is fine, but when it comes to mons with certain stats and traits you can run into a situation where said mon does not show up. The answer would be breeding, but eggs take time to mature and if you get a size requirement you are basically fucked unless you can produce multiple eggs at once to try and shotgun the process. Sex training mons is even worse where you are given 2 mons with no knowledge of their preferences (much less if said preferences are actually applicable to the quests) For example. I got two mons, took them to the brothel to find their preferences, they were hand>cock, but I needed a god level in one sex skill which turned out to be fetish. Even putting the mons in a luxury bedroom (for ~20 exhaustion reduction per day) training them each day means that they will have ~20 exhaustion available to train and if you go down the wrong skill path (because there is no indication of max skills on a mon even after taking them to the brothel) that means you are in a long slog trying to find the "right" skill. And then there are the Arena quests. God this is a fucking nightmare. As you near A rank, the arena gets dumb. Your are limited to 3 mons, but your opponents can have 6-7. Even if you have relatively decent genes and levels you get absolutely murdered in action economy. Every mon, when put in the right party, should be able to contribute to an arena win assuming they have decent genes for level up and favorable traits. As it stands now, any low hp mon cannot contribute. Harpies with their agility? right out because they get crushed by the 3-4 retaliatory attacks on the enemy's turn (sadly even attacking once and using the second pip to defend doesn't help) Here is my suggestion, every week or two the king charges rent based on your setup, structural upgrades and the number of mons you have. If you cannot afford this payment, the king (after two failed payment warnings) takes the land, game over. After each successful payment, an increasing multiplier is applied to the next payment. The king has several quests that you can attempt for favors to bring this multiplier down that refresh after rent is due or they're accomplished. So as long as you are running profitably you can ignore the king and focus on your other goals, but at the same time there is still the option to do quests for him to help lower your "rent"

Currently, almost nothing about it makes sense anymore with a lot of small changes to other parts of the game since its creation, and any interaction with that menu is just not any fun. So i'll do more interesting/unique actual skilltrees + better options/ui for summoning/transforming.

The changes to seduction costs give all characters a minimum value in combat and the new leveling system felt like a better choice all in all. I didn't get exp for some battles, like fighting the king, dont know if its just me :-/ I did some serious playthroughs and achievement hunting with all main characters, which i didn't do before. I think i have the full portrait of your game now. i think evolution and druid are in a very good spot right now. the only one i didn't like to play was creation for a number of reasons, but mostly because it wasnt at all what i expected. when i read the description and lore for creation my thoughts where "cool, so i don't have to care that much for my main characters and rather build perfect characters, just how i want them!" turns out that isnt really the case, because you basically can only choose the species and some skills, which isnt enough for a perfectionist like me. :-) especially the fact that all your creations are stuck with the same genes was a big killer for me. well, i did a few playthroughs anyways and it was pretty hard, until i found a simple method to make it op in a few days: you go to the brothel to unlock forms. then you create those forms and do ritual with them. you use the points to increase the max levels of your forms, so you get more points from the next ones. you do this for a while and after a few days you have everything in your trees unlocked by just chilling at home and going to the brothel. which was very op at that point and felt very weird ^^ you did a lot of good things with evolution in the last patches, maybe an overhaul of creation is something you can set your sight on in the future. would be cool if it would uphold its promise: that i can one day create my perfect lavagirl without having to breed for 5 weeks :-D just my opinion though ;-) as said, the recent changes where all very good! keep it up!

2019-06-18 20:33:26 +0000 UTCThere seems to be a bug that is randomly reducing the speed of units in my party. My AN_3's speed is reduced to 1 ( 3(1) ). And Seleil is at 3 ( 5(3) ). I don't have any equipment on them that reduces speed so I know that's not it. Which is unfortunate because they are my heaviest hitters at the moment. This might be similar to the bug a while back that randomly increased a unit's movemod.

Is there anyway you could scale this to size, I have no objection with these being the max for say a tiny character, but could you double it with each increase in size, or even scale it using the golden ratio of 1.618 which may give a more natural feeling progression.

The buff to fusion is very welcome, now I won't use it as a way to simply get rid of overflow of characters from chain breeding. Also thank you for removing mana cost from seduce, it just always seemed like a waste of resources to me and because of that I barely used that option. Also also, skill combinations? That is actually huge and opens up room for a lot of possibilities, awesome.

2019-06-08 00:53:47 +0000 UTCUnlike Evo or Druid as a Creation it's actually better to delay leveling until you have better genes unless you want to recieve alot of levels without any noticeable stat increases for main character. Now it's real pain because it's impossible to just do nothing in combat as a creation in order to not get levels to early. Also, before I could use whole my party to support new characters and they used greatswords to get level 25 in less than 3-4 in-game hours. Now whole party leeching XP from new characters so it's actually slower to train them in combat in my opinion. Now I clearly see that this world is corrupted and need to be destroyed >.> Other than that - great update and awesome game.
