V0.9.2.0 +poll
Added 2019-02-11 13:52:57 +0000 UTCI think a big problem with previous evo-maincharacter was that leveling forms was always really weird and felt more like a chore, were you never have the best form, because you don't want to waste exp, etc. which generally makes evo not really adaptable which should be the main point of that character.
So i tried to fix that problem with a new adaptable form:
V0.9.2.0 - small update for opinions/poll
Evolution Chimera form (Monstergirl character creator?):
(cheat "evoall" to unlock all currently available parts)
Windows:
https://mega.nz/#!8aw0zQBZ!-9iTcUWifMpddrRrj4184k-oW_IOk5HGU0iPP9q2mdo
- You can change the maincharacters body with different parts for stats/skills etc.
- Combat sprite for that form will only be based on bodytype though
- Levels for that form grant 5% bonus to all stats for those forms
- Exh cost to change form is based on changed parts
(You can always change into that form for no cost if nothing changed, even if in completely different basic form)
- currently all parts are gained through the basic sex(r/g) and ritual options in the charactermanager. (mostly for basespecies, uniques and town npcs)
Not quite sure what to do with the other forms/transformations into basic species etc.
I could probably just remove the other forms to increase the games pace for evo etc.
Might keep it as it is now with chimera form being a bit weaker than other forms but more flexible and free to turn into.
I'll probably add parts to buy with skillpoints so you can choose what to focus on
Poll:
- remove transformations into basic species/related skillpoints/upgrades
(no need to level all random forms, skillpoints will mostly be used to unlock new parts)
- keep all transformations (as it is in the posted version)
- keep all transformations + remove skillpoints gained from leveling other forms (every evo form shares the same level)

I definitely really enjoy the new mix-and-match! The other issues I have were mentioned by the others: it sucks that the ritual only works when the NPC has a dick, plus it would be nice to give some of the benefits of the special forms to others, even if that meant making half-lust, half succubi, for instance.

2019-02-12 04:08:05 +0000 UTCI've been trying to think of how i could contribute here, but everything I think through: is either done in the game or goes against your 90% percent content philosophy. Really the only thing i can do is provide you my impression of Evo. Evo right now is just a shape-shifter rather than a god of evolution. I see that leveling each species form allows evo to use a "higher form" like the strength or lust form. I think it would be a nice addition to the evo lore if you could use the "higher forms" in a ritual to "upgrade" the species in your party. Like using the Lust Form to evolve a succbus into a "higher Succubei" species. I think this is worth because it would help solidify Evo's philosophy separately from Cre's and Druid's.

2019-02-11 21:59:03 +0000 UTCYou're right about leveling each form being a chore, but I think the upgrades you can choose from leveling those forms gives us more freedoms to play to our own style-- more ways to play. I am of the opinion that the true pace breaker is the requirements for unlocking base forms; Having to find specific species and it also forces you to prioritize choosing the max level perks first. The evolution of different parts is a brilliant and fresh idea but I don't think it would hurt just to leave the option to transform into a species. You should gather the opinions of newish people, as some of our opinions will most likely be effected by the fact that we've played through and leveled very specific races across twenty or more playthroughs. If anything, keep the original mechanic and make the bonuses cosmetic. Personally I feel it takes forever just to get the evolution MC's genes/body to the point where she can be included in the breeding process so you could use this opportunity to include more gene bonuses if you insist on keeping the reset of all stats upon transformation.

2019-02-11 19:32:27 +0000 UTCmy main dislikes for evo in the original sense where three things: - specialising on one form was usually just plain bad - you always had to spend a long time to grind towards the forms you wanted and where kind of limited in your starting chars (if i really wanted to play demon harpy, i had to start with harpy and succubus, which sucked ^^) - ritual only exists from male to female, which means: female npcs are useless and playing as male pc is useless if those things were taken care of, i'd be amazed. Just my opinion though. ;-) keep it up!
