Character sizes
Added 2019-01-18 04:15:34 +0000 UTCShould characters have sizes, changes their stats/accessibility of portals etc ?
Without sizes, each character with mount ability will be able to carry 1 other character.
(Instead of currently all smaller ones)

Character sizes could go either way, but for the most part I see them as an inconvenience. Perhaps if they were of a lesser significance? Instead of dwarf<>giant, something more along the lines of short<>tall. I would appreciate giving characters "builds" though: lean<>bulky etc.

2019-01-23 23:49:55 +0000 UTCSizes are awesome, keep em. On a side note a nice change would be different penis/breast sizes AND for that to be visible on the portraits. I know its some work, but it would only require adjusting a small portion of the portrait. And this would ad a lot of visual variety.

2019-01-19 17:11:53 +0000 UTCThere only one think I really like about sizes: Evolution can use it to alter her breeding stats to prepare for an egg-laying session, it helps with breeding. Otherwise sizes are mostly annoying. I can't recruit that giant dude, they won't fit in the portal; can't use this Soldier for my expedition, too large. Can't enter Air portals as Creation or Prince, they need a large mount which won't fit. This character has good genes and interesting traits, but his combat stats are as tiny as him; I guess I can recruit him and send him home. I would like flavour sizes and I don't mind size fetish in sex scenes but I do think sizes are making the game harder to balance.

2019-01-19 04:57:13 +0000 UTCI enjoy the sizes. I think it makes sense that larger sizes should be stronger with more carry capacity and the smaller ones should have more speed (AP). If there simply wasn't restrictions on size for portals that should remove any rational complaints i think. I have to begin with medium starters because the first mission portal can't even fit large characters in it.

2019-01-19 03:43:36 +0000 UTCInstead of straight up removing sizes, I would very much prefer it to be more of a flavour, than the current hard and limiting factor that has a huge impact. Some thoughts from me: Size should NOT: - Have huge influence on stats. Alternatively, it should be a flavor that would make characters more inclined to some roles than the other, but not gimping any size in any role. - Have any interaction with portals. This is just annoying,. Doesn't add up much meaningful strategy or anything, really. On the other hand, size would be good to: - Have effect on flavor text, events - Have effect on breeding and sex. Different possibilities, alternative actions, possibly add some new fetishes. Temporarily unlocking size-blocked actions by some spells, potions or whatever. - Have some balanced effect on combat. Again, balanced. Small being slightly harder to hit, huge being slightly more durable. Some size-specific perks, maybe size-limited equipment. But all in all, I won't hide that what I would love to see the most is some sex diversity based on size of characters involved. There is some rudimentary mechanism in place, with dependence on dick size and race. It could be really built upon.

2019-01-18 16:55:18 +0000 UTCi think what people are asking for in brief, is for there to be more expansion on the size mechanic. the primary reason for voting against is essentially that portal mechanics make them irritating, not actually disliking them, as well as small characters being a straight bad investment

2019-01-18 13:05:33 +0000 UTCIt seems the frustration stems from the limitations of portal sizes. The character sizes make for interesting game play mechanics and lore/ ecchi scenes. The portal limitations get in the way of this mechanic. In regards to size Giant characters are awesome, but maybe there should be more benefits to recruiting small characters(ie they only take up half a bed or have a chance to dodge attacks). The main point is instead of limiting the mechanic through the portal sizes, remove it the portal sizes and add more to the size mechanics to diversify the game play.

2019-01-18 08:03:40 +0000 UTCThe idea of sizes are neat and all, but I haven't had a single moment of finding them to be an enjoyable game mechanic. Will they fit in a portal? They're small? Now they can't be a mount and are squishy. Oh look there's a huge monster that I'm fighting while the portal only allowed things smaller than it. So right now it's more of a mechanic I have to just deal with than engage with in any meaningful way.

2019-01-18 05:37:15 +0000 UTCRight now, all disadvantages of greater sizes do not have any effect on enemies at all, and the other way around for small ones. Thats the main problem i see with sizes.

2019-01-18 05:05:35 +0000 UTCI have a better suggestion: mobs don't spawn larger than portal entrances The chief concern I've seen was people being worried about the "rescue"events and suddenly having to abandon them due to not being able to fit. That plus removing shrink/growth potions makes sizes more of a problem than a feature

2019-01-18 04:28:26 +0000 UTCNote: without those type of sizes, characters could just have actual sizes/measurements for stuff for flavour and breeding etc. If i'll do layered images for characters to represent sizes/bodyparts, having relative sizes would probably be a bit weird
