Update: November 17, 2022 - agh, egh, ugh
Added 2022-11-17 08:20:37 +0000 UTCa fashionable 2 days late (technically I started writing this at like 11:30 PM yesterday, but it's the thought that counts). hope you're all staying within comfy temperatures. I sadly don't have a lot to report here, but I figure I may as well give the state of affairs.
video when?
since the last update, progress on the half-life video has hit a few walls that I'm still trying to get over. first is the script itself, which I've found to almost completely lack direction as it approaches the 1000 word mark. this has happened before in my writing and I wouldn't ordinarily expect it to be a big problem, but real life stuff coupled with a bit of my own time mismanagement (and stubbornness to pivot or give up) has really made things grind to a halt. shit sucks. doesn't feel good. pepehands, peepocry, etc.
so for now, I'm putting a pause on the half-life video, and I'm gonna revisit it after I make a quick and fun twitch video. I have no lack of recent VODs and footage to go through so it'll probably be cut from one of the following streams:
- CSGO Overwatch (catching cheaters)
- Minecraft ULTRA HD RTX ON
- Exo One (& mid 2000s TV commercials)
- Insurgency Sandstorm

I've been thinking about making a little EP of ambient tunes. nothing crazy, just a few pleasant loops that you can either zone out or hone in to. something in the vein of shinichi atobe's stuff, but with my own weird flavors mixed in. simple earworm-y stuff. could work nicely as BGM for videos but I won't really worry about that too much. maybe... 4 tracks? 5? we'll see how many ideas bubble up to the surface.
