Added 2025-09-29 00:58:36 +0000 UTCI have started finalicing my npcs personality system, and made a little journal that holds all npcs in the game. Ill be using this mostly for my next ''big'' game, but im glad to finally get the idea out of my head xD
Right now this loads at the start of the game, and every npc loads itself into the journal. So Romance, lust and friendship levels are already savable :)

here are some of the current interests npcs can have

here are ''social styles'' (aka the way the npcs react to the players replies.)(dialogue options/replies will affect your standing with an npc.)
Social traits are split into friendship, romance and lust, and each of these get different amounts of points, so that aggressive will not give much of a minus to lust, but it will impact romance and friendship more.

Interests and social styles are then mixed together into a personality trait.

each personality can override the amount of points a social style normally gives, meaning that a shy person might react negatively to overlyflirty behaviour, while a charmer reacts positively to it.
These personality types also decides what the npcs can do. So a vain person will be able to groom themselves while idling, and looking into mirrors as an example.
I have also added in the start of a gifting system B)... so npcs will enjoy or hate different types of gifts... These will be ''unlockable'' for the player to view, so they wont imediately know what they should or shouldnt gift an npc.
