Heretic Night V is live!

The Nightborn Edition has been updated with Heretic Night V!

I know a lot of players have already played the Zealot Night V, but for those who have been holding out, remember that the Nightborn Edition requires starting a new save game. You can access it by clicking on the link above. The password is "sithrak".

At the moment the Heretic Route is almost identical to the public version. There are a few tweaks for the new Bound Mode (nothing major, just some platonic vibe changes) and a couple additional ways to earn tendency points. I'll be going back and adding additional content to the earlier episodes of The Nightborn Edition after Night VII. We'll have another poll this weekend to choose a new tendency. I have a couple selected, but I'm happy to take suggestions.

Some additional notes of the top of my head:

I haven't updated the credits yet. I started to do it and realized it would take a little while longer than I thought (cause there are a bunch of you <3) I'll update them tomorrow!

The Heretic NSFW route is currently Unbound Mode only. So to unlock it you need to have a blue thread with Val and be playing Unbound Mode. The reason for that is I don't have a MFM draft for that route and Nights 6/7 have some M/M content. Also, their backstories change a bit depending on which mode you're playing. If there's demand for this route on Bound mode, I'll draft that route and put it in, but until then Bound players will have to wait until Night VI to get explicit.

I playtested each route twice but I usually do more tests than that. Let me know if you find anything weird/out of place. I'll give it another run through tomorrow. Playtesting is probably the least fun aspect of writing an IF, and it takes a little longer with each update. I'm going to brainstorm some ways to streamline that process.

Also, random note but it's something that's annoying me: I will add an option to refuse to forgive Serax for almost killing you. I realized when I was going through and editing today that I didn't draft that option for the Heretic route and my writer brain already clocked out for the day. I know only like two people are going to do him dirty like that, but it'll be an option I add in the Week One update, promise!

I'm 90% sure I'm forgetting something, but my contact lenses are fogging over. I'm going to answer a couple blog questions and hit the hay. I can't wait to get up and dig into Night VI first thing in the morning. I'll be releasing the Zealot Night VI route first, followed by the Heretic. Same with Night VII. Both are long nights with a lot of options. After that, I'll likely start waiting until the full nights are complete, that way everyone is reading at the same time.
