Progress Report 2/12

Howdy all! Sorry for the lack of patches over the last week or so. I've been working on a few different things at once! Work has slown down a fair bit due to how hectic my college semester has been, but I'm getting into the swing of things more.

UI

I'm still working on finishing up the UI redesign implementation, for the follower HUD parts & status menus. After these are done, I'll need to copy over the old combat UI HUD aspects and sync them together. This is the big reason that I haven't uploaded what I've been working on, as the game is hardly functional ATM in between patches :P

Sound Design/Music

This week I've been going through and compiling playlists of music for both night & day! You can expect about 5 tracks for each in the next update, though I plan on expanding more over the next few patches since most of the tracks are rather short.

I've also been working on ambient soundscapes for the different areas, so you can expect more immersive audio around the map! This includes day & night ambience as well, on top of stuff like running water noises near rivers, dripping in caves, and more!

Item Sprites

As you can see above, I've been working on giving items unique sprites! This is something that will be done gradually, but I'd like to eventually give (almost) every item a unique sprite!

 I'm starting with equipment items first, as I feel unique visuals for equipment makes finding new items far more satisfying. This is something that probably won't be entirely done by the end of the 1.1.0 cycle, as it's more something I'm doing on the side mostly for fun.

I've also been spriting new items for the bounty shop! I wanted to make these items extra special, but more on that in the next devlog!

Bug Fixes

I've gotten a lot of bug fixes done, mostly focusing on both soft locks & fixing the issues with the class reworks! I had originally planned on spacing out 1.1.w.2 to different smaller updates, but since I've got so many things mid-rework right now I decided against doing so.

As such, you can expect the next patch in like 10-14 days! This will feature the (finished) sorcerer rework, poppeteer class, day/night cycle, weather, massively improved sound design, off-hand slot items, and more!
