Little Postbox's taking a short rest!

Dear everyone,

Little Postbox is taking a rest for two months and will be back in June! It wasn't an easy decision but gratefully, these little ones and you guys assured me otherwise. The wallpapers for this month are late and I am making up for them doubly over the next two months. So please do stay around at least for the next month so that you can access them for free. There will be no subscription charge for existing Patreons during this period.

This is a really long post as I'd really love to update this little community about my progress so far. In case you're not a heavy reader, here's a collage of my latest photo activities to share a glimpse of what's keeping me up these days! In short, I will be taking a breather and also work on some new things for J&F:

📔A book's coming (Finally!)

Yes, a J&F book is in progress! Its working title is 'Nice to love you' and is available only in mandarin for now. I am now spending most of my time working on its conceptualisation, design and layout, as well as finalising its translation. It's like a dream come true for me finally after countless pitches and re-positioning my brand to the publishers. I learnt alot in the process but it also almost made me question the value of J&F after all the rejections. So I hope to put more care into the development of this first book and hopefully, bring this to my English readers one day too.

💻A new J&F website is also coming!

I have been putting this on hold for a long time as a website redesign is time-intensive and disruptive to my work flow. However, with new things coming, I think the time is now! So I will be burying myself in codes instead of colours for some time.

🏘️ A new home studio!

This has to be one of the most exciting parts of my hiatus! I am moving to a new place in April and will be creating a little home studio out of a room. I can't wait to design this small universe where I will be working on the letters and illustrations in the future. Please allow the amateur videographer in me to share the studio progress with you guys as I slowly piece the place together!

On the other hand, this is also why I choose to pause the letters as I worry about losing them amid the messy packing and moving.

🏘️ New products in prototype now!

Thank you for all the feedbacks on the paper hugs last year! I actually collect all of them to make decisions on future product designs. So some of your favourite items will be becoming mainstay items in my online shop soon!

Of course, following my last soft toy collab campaign that was unsuccessful, I have grown my collection of fox toys for better ideas. Hope that I can bring Little Fox to life this time, whether as a collab or doing my own series.

🐕 Spending time with my loved ones and myself

Last but not least, I will be spending simple time with my loved ones and myself, and temporarily switching off the constant guilt of having to do more. My shelf of unread books, my wanderlust and the idea of being fully present for my family are calling out to me, especially after the two years of adjusted lifestyle from covid. My furry boy might also be welcoming a new foster or adopted sister while we are pending some screening. It's weird, but I am excited about the simple things to come.

If you manage to read all the way till here, I just want to thank you for being a huge part of my life. I am who I am because of you, that's why I always feel like I am sharing to a family. I am already missing the letters and you guys.
