July Poll Results

The results for July are in! Carrying a pretty strong lead from the beginning, the winner was Scene 10! So in the near future (most likely not the upcoming dev build) you'll have an alternative method of rescuing Mina from Leila! I'm sure you all just wanted a way to avoid getting eaten when you rescue her, and don't have any kind of nefarious intent ;)

I also have an announcement relating to scene suggestions! I mentioned in my year update post a little while back that patreon polls have a hard limit of 25 options. Well, as of this month the page has officially grown to the point where, if 100% of people eligible to do so submitted a scene suggestion, there wouldn't be room to fit them all in. Which is exciting! But it also means there may need to be some changes.

Now, right now this is still not really an issue, seeing as last month only had 11 suggestions and the only time everyone eligible made one was the very first month. But, unlikely as it is, now that it's a real potential issue I feel I should lay out my plans for handling it just so that you're all in the loop ahead of time. Essentially, that plan is to use a queue.

How it will work is that I'm going to start keeping a list of patrons that have made a suggestion, and when someone's suggestion is approved, I'll add their name to the bottom of that list. When it comes time to make the poll, I'll take the top 25 scenes from the list to put into it, and anyone that doesn't make the cut will remain at the top of the list for the next month. I also plan to separate this out by tier: Senior scenes go in first, then remaining slots are filled by Junior suggestions, and finally Sophomores. So, for example, if there were 30 suggestions and a senior was the last one to be approved before the poll, but there were only 2 other senior suggestions, that senior would still get their scene into the poll. 

There are still some kinks I need to work out, like how keeping the same suggestion across months will factor into the queue order, and like I said this isn't a real issue yet, but let me know your thoughts if you have any!

PS: If you suggested one of the other scenes, feel free to keep it as your suggestion for August! In fact, I'll be assuming that's what you want to do until you give me a different suggestion. Reminder messages will be going out to those eligible shortly!
