12/15 Status Update
Added 2025-12-15 03:23:51 +0000 UTCThe new Netoria Tactics 2 update is pretty much done and will come out during the Steam winter sale, because that's how the publisher likes to do things. Here's the changelog:
New content:
Doubled the number of grope event dialogues
Added new flashbacks at the end of level 1

Balance Changes:
Increased Player character base health slightly
Patchup healing increased to 20 health
Lowered enemy base damage slightly
Assassin timer increased for most levels
Other Changes:
You can now save the game immediately before the POV choice
Added the ability to see the grope art in the recollection room
The additional grope dialogues and the new flashbacks are the meat of this update. Besides what's coming out this week, I've been doing lots of laying the groundwork for Act 2. Both the generic stuff and for Vashti specifically. I've been writing skeletons of her scenes to get the flow of events and character development set. My next goal is to make the first playable level as well as code in all the new skills. The pixel artist is working on icons for those right now.

That sprite sheet is for all the skill enhancement equipment in the game right now. The new ones are mostly on the bottom. There's already over 100 skills in the game, by the time the game is finished I don't even want to estimate how many there will be. A lot.

Here's another piece of the finished generic grope art. That will probably be the main preview art for another week or two because RadLad is taking a little bit of a break. This break was built into the timetable, that's why he already did half of the Vashti act 2 art. So things are still on track to have the big update in march. Honestly the thing I'm most worried about is being able to make seven good levels in that timespan. Just making a level isn't a big deal, but making a GOOD level is a lot tougher. Especially if I decide to make them complicated like the prison break one.
