Meet the Characters of Netoria: Vivien

We're down to the last character to be previewed for the first release, Viven. There's one more party member, but he doesn't show up until later. Vivien joins the team right before the end of release 1, during level 14. She's the second female party member, swearing a life debt to Carwyn after he saves her.

Vivien is a beast tamer who's managed to delve deep into the caverns on her own. What's a beast tamer? It means she rides around on a big monster thing. She can use both lances and axes and starts out with a special lance only she can use called Lance and Claw. Basically it represents her and her mount attacking in unison, always striking twice.

But what really makes Vivien different is her relationship to Carwyn. Vivien is the only character who can be nearby him and not cause him to lose his Lone Wolf buff. In fact, her Life Debt skill actually boosts Carywn if she's nearby. She also has the ability Distracting, which turns off Carwyn's Watchful Eye ability. This does two things, one it stops Carwyn from turning her own abilities off, and two makes it so Carwyn can't stop people from groping Gwenivier if Vivien and Carwyn are near each other.

Her last ability is True of Heart, which basically just makes her grope Carwyn. Viven's role on the team is to be a partner for Carwyn to split off with. She's also Gwenivier's "rival", in that she'll try to steal Carwyn for herself. So even if Gwenivier is kept safe, Carwyn himself can be NTR'd away. There's more to what's going on with Vivien, but talking about that would be pretty spoilery. She's very important for events towards the end of the game, and one of the most important things in determining what ending you get depends on what happens with her.
