Meet the Characters of Netoria: Gwenivier

When I was coming up with the names of the characters for Netoria, one thing came to mind. King Arthur, the most famous cuckold in English literature. Now, how NTRy that story is changes based on the telling but it's pretty funny to think of King Arthur sitting on his throne going "Wowee that Lancelot guy sure is a great knight" while Lancelot bangs Guinevere in the background winning her over with his massive dong.

I knew that I wanted to name the main girl after Guinevere as a reference, but decided to spell it differently since these names have like 1000 spellings anyway. So Gwenivier it is. And then from there the rest of the cast were given Welsh names as well because they sound cool and fantasy. Maybe not if you're actually Welsh but there's like what, 100 people who speak that language anyway. (I kid Welshmen, I've been to Cardiff and it's a beautiful city. Your language is really cool.).

So here's Gwenivier. At the start of the story, she's followed Carwyn on his suicide mission into the caverns. In her head, this is going to be a romantic adventure, full of danger and love. And maybe she'd die at the end, she didn't really think that part through. What she did think about was that Carwyn was going to leave, and she couldn't bear to see him go. And maybe they'd stand some chance of surviving together, after all just because no one comes back from the caverns doesn't mean they actually die. Maybe there's a cool underground city where they  can live and love together or something.

Unfortunately, Carwyn does not share the same intentions. Now that Gwenivier has joined him despite his objections, he wants no distractions. No romance, no long talks about their feelings, just razer focus on the goal of getting as deep as possible and defeating as money monsters as they can. He's already a dead man, there's no point in furthering their relationship. Unfortunately for Carwyn, the other men they pick up along the way don't share that sentiment. In fact, they're more focused on having as much fun as they can in before they meet their end...

Gwenivier is the tank and damage dealer of the party. She has a few special abilities; the first is Threatening. This skill makes her a target for enemies, and makes anyone adjacent to her not a target. So if you stick weaker members of the party by her side, the monsters will ignore them in favor of trying to kill the woman with a big axe protecting them. She also has the skill Unwavering, which heals a small amount of health per turn, this helps her stay in the fight if a bunch of enemies are chipping her down. Lastly, she has Team Player. In addition to being protected, people next to her also gain bonuses to their stats. So keeping people next to her will protect them and make them more effective in battle. Not Carwyn though, as his Watchful Eye will turn off all her skills.

Of course, keeping a bunch of men close to her can be problematic with how gropey they tend to get. That's what the game is balanced around, All the stuff that makes the NTR content happen is incentivized by the mechanics. Sure you can keep everyone away from Gwenivier, but they'll A: Be open for targeting by enemies, B: Not benefit from Team Player, and C: eventually become Frustrated, instead of the Gratified status they gain from groping her. That's a net -6 attack and -6 defense if you're not letting them have their way with her!

Gwenivier also has a different class promotion path then the other characters. She has a normal progression of Woodcutter -> Warrior -> Hero, but if you let her purity get too low from being groped all the time, she'll find herself going down a different path...

Of course, the penalties from protecting her are can all be overcome. If you want to keep her safe and unmolested, Carwyn will come around later in the story and they'll become the couple they both want to be. Gwenivier has five paths that can happen. One for each of the three men who can steal her away, one happy romance with Carwyn, and a non-pairing where she doesn't get corrupted, but Carwyn himself gets stolen away.

How will things turn out? Who will be the one fucking Gwenivier senseless by the end? It's all up to how you play the game!
