How Long Should I Spend On Naked Ambition .81?
Added 2022-04-20 21:11:17 +0000 UTCAnother poll? That's right. This time the question is how much time should I spend on Naked Ambition .81? When I put out .8, I knew I needed a .81 because, well, Spring random events didn't exist. That's because what I was going to be doing in place of them didn't really work. So instead of delaying the update a month I just was going to put in random events later.
And then I decided that I should rework how random events trigger to have pink cards effect your chances of sexy random events, you know, to make pink cards do something again. But unfortunately, the current random events don't really split well between sexy and not sexy. So I'd have to write a whole bunch of new ones. And now we're talking a bunch of writing and art, just lots of time basically. So, the question is, do I invest that time?
It would make random events better, but it would also delay the endings and the end game crisis. I think there's two major options:
- Only make Spring random events and that's it. Get to the endgame.
- Spend the time needed to revamp the random event system. Make lots of new sexy random events.
In the case of the first, I still need to find some new use for pink cards. Maybe adding corruption over time? I could also just straight up give them the axe, but that causes a lot of other problems.
So what do people think? Spend the time I need to make a bunch of new random events or get to the endgame?
