3/12 Update
Added 2021-03-12 22:33:21 +0000 UTCHere's going on in video game production land:
In the next day or two I plan to release another TF Card Battle update. Like the last few it's going to be small balance changes and updates. Expect these kind of changes pretty consistently over the next few months.
Next week I should have Naked Ambition .61 finished. This will be fixes to bugs, typos, and a small amount of new content. I've already started laying the groundwork for .7 but none of that will be available in this update.
Speaking of .7; the first release will focus on the following: timeline expanded by 7 weeks, new council member meetings, winter random events, new heirlooms, and a new card mechanic. This will be pretty similar to how update .5 came out, with trainer events saved for later.
The council member meetings will be pretty variation filled, with different ones for if you have positive favor with them, negative favor, and if you're on their route after the Festival of the Moon. These will be the last meetings so it's the Princess's final opportunity to win them over.
Winter events will be pretty much the same as fall events were. Most will be self contained but others will continue storylines that other random events started or create new ones. There are still spring events to come after these so they're not the last ones, but those spring events will be pretty limited in comparison.
By this point in the game, the dual color cards are starting to get played out slightly. So to keep the end of the week meetings fresh and meaningful there's going to be another option added besides meditation and visualization. This will be more of a risk/reward mechanic that will reduce the volatility of the Princess's decisions that week at a cost.
Right now the only heirloom that really does anything impactful is the ancient tome but that will change in .7. As well as heirlooms tied to character routes, so you only have to get that high level of affection with Gales once for example, there will also be more that effects gameplay. Things that make it a little easier to pass card checks, control random events, or minimize more punishing gameplay aspects, like deaths.
I don't have any preview art for this week as the art production process for .7 has just started but there's going to be a lot of it. As always, thanks for your continued support.
