A few words about Marie: Rise of Adam

If you're going to read MROA... Please keep this in mind.

I did not want to do Marie #2. I didn't. Or rather, I didn't want to de the same thing. I didn't want to do a rinse and repeat of what I did in #1. It did not entice me at all.

However. The panel at the top. That to me was exciting. Marie's past. What she did. Who is she? What did she do before. How did she get all that stuff? These things interested me. The more I thought of those things, the more story crafted in my head.

Marie is Tomb Raider. She's James Bond. She's Black Widow. She's John Constantine. She's Doctor Who. Or rather, she has hints of these things in her. And this is what you're going to see with this story.

"But John? Are they going to... You know..." Yes of course they are. And not just them. I'm bringing other characters to mix it up, bring more to the overall experience and bring a character that's been in my head for a long time.

Adam.

If you have read my other comics, you've already been introduced to the daughter of Eve. Everything will point to a direction by the end. This is the most ambitious thing I've done.

I'm having the most fun I've had for a long time. Back to colors, back to being eager to do the pages.

I hope you'll stick with me and be patient.

Marie and Lucas are not in chapter one. But by the end of it, you'll know the stakes and why they are still the center of what's to come. (They're in chapter 2, you won't have to wait too long ;) )

Also to be clear. The story is split in chapters, but I'm doing the full story. I'm not stopping between.
