Beast Wallpaper Progress + New Thing
Added 2024-11-07 11:54:33 +0000 UTCA bit of progress made on the new wallpaper. With a big mess of a piece like this I've found that instead of doing all the linework first then color, it's easier to break the design into sections and just work on each one separately. It helps to focus on smaller parts and finishing those almost completely, that way there's a sense of progression when looking at the rest of the design.
This piece is a bit of an exception to my usual process as there's actually a fully colored rough, but it still helps a bunch to have a finished section to refer to when working on the rest of the piece. I'm trying to incorporate more finished colors into my roughs as I move forward.
The second piece will be another finished piece - still at the grayscale level, next step will be color selection then the final linework.

good point, a bit tricky to pull off tho because of 'color relativeness' which is subject to change while you add another color next to it, doing a great job here btw!
