A Secret With Leo - Part 2

Everyone in this story is 18+

Low music pulsed from the speakers as Sophie barely lasted five minutes after we arrived, collapsing on the couch in a haze of giggles and half-finished sentences. I carried her to bed, her arms draped around my neck as she murmured about how much she loved our night out.

Returning to the living room, I rubbed the back of my neck and glanced at Leo, who lounged on the couch with a drink in hand, looking completely at ease now.

“She’s down for the count,” I said, leaning against the doorway. “Guess she wasn’t as ‘perfectly fine’ as she claimed.”

Leo laughed softly, his smile lopsided. “Yeah, well, Soph’s always been a lightweight. Not like us. We can handle a few more, right?”

I smirked and moved to the counter, pouring myself a glass of whiskey. “Yeah, we’re seasoned pros at this point.”

Leo’s gaze followed my movements, his smile unwavering but his eyes sharper now. “Funny,” he said teasingly, “you’re less serious when she’s not around. Ever notice that?”

I raised an eyebrow, bringing the glass to my lips. “Serious? What do you mean?”

He shrugged, lounging back against the couch, one arm draped casually over the back. “When it’s just us, you loosen up in a different way.”

I chuckled, shaking my head. “Guess I never thought about it that way. I’m just so used to taking care of Soph when she gets too drunk.”

“Yeah?” His tone was light, but he watched me more deliberately now. “You think you’re good at that?”

I felt the challenge in his voice, the air thickening with unspoken tension. “I don’t know,” I replied smoothly. “You tell me.”

Leo’s smile softened into a smirk, tilting his head with casual interest. “I’d say you’re pretty good at it—better than me, at least.”

I let out a short laugh, but my eyes remained locked on his. There was an undertone to our banter—an energy that felt both playful and charged.

“It’s you and Soph who always talk about being free spirits,” I teased. “Can’t pin you down, remember?”

He laughed, low and easy. “Yeah, but you’re harder to read than you let on, Adrian.” His voice took on a thoughtful note, like he was figuring out a puzzle.

I shrugged, a crooked smile appearing as I leaned back on the couch, keeping a slight distance. “Guess I like a little mystery.”

His eyes lingered on me. “So,” I said after a beat, casual but intent. “You gonna tell me what really happened with that guy at the club?”

Leo chuckled, shaking his head. “I told you, he disappeared. Classic move.”

I smirked. “Or maybe you did.”

He shot me a look, his smile quirking. “Maybe.” He held my gaze a moment longer. “Why, jealous?”

I rolled my eyes, my playful tone masking something deeper. “As if. Just curious.”

“Curious, huh?” His voice dropped slightly, still playful but softer. “Well, some things are better left a mystery, like you mentioned.”

I raised my glass in mock toast, a grin on my face, though the atmosphere remained charged. “To mysteries, then.”

We clinked glasses, and Leo grimaced as he drank the whiskey. “You straight guys and your damned whiskey,” he chuckled.

“Sorry, let’s get you a cider from Soph, then.”

The soft sound of Sophie’s steady breathing filled the room as I returned to the kitchen, running a hand through my auburn hair. When I came back, I handed Leo the cider. “Thanks, much appreciated,” he nodded.

We talked about everything and nothing, and another hour flew by. Leo sprawled on the couch, one arm over his eyes as if blocking out the world.

“You can sleep in the bed with us, as usual,” I said, leaning against the doorframe with a smirk. “I know the couch is terrible.”

He lowered his arm and chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. “What, you think she’ll wake up and kick me again?”

I rolled my eyes playfully. “She’s out cold, and perched at the far end of the bed. I guess I’ll be the middle one instead of her, as usual.”

Leo paused, then shrugged, a grin creeping onto his face. “Alright, alright. If you insist. That couch is murder anyway.”

Inside the bedroom, Sophie sprawled across her side of the bed, her breathing deep and steady, completely oblivious to the world around her.

Leo and I exchanged a glance before peeling off our shirts. I tossed mine aside, revealing my athletic build; my chest was hairy but trimmed, just like Soph liked it. Leo followed suit, showcasing his lean arms and a hint of defined abs—completely smooth. I knew Soph had even shaved Leo’s body on occasion. We exchanged playful glances as we slipped out of our jeans, leaving only our underwear. I was in my black Calvins, while Leo wore his usual briefs. I had teased him many times for that choice, but I couldn’t deny that he pulled it off well, showing off his pert backside.

We climbed into bed at the same time, sliding in next to each other. Sophie was nestled at the far end, effectively forcing us to be close, our bodies almost touching. It felt both familiar and charged, and I could feel the warmth radiating from Leo.

“I guess I should start thanking you guys for always saving me from that deathtrap you call a couch,” Leo muttered, getting comfortable, his shoulder brushing against mine as he settled in.

“Trust me,” I said with a chuckle, “I’m saving you and your spine.”

Leo shot me a playful glare. “Right, because it’s all about the spine. Totally not about you wanting me close.”

I raised an eyebrow, my smirk faltering slightly as we locked eyes for a moment longer than necessary. “You’re the one climbing into bed with us,” I replied, my voice casual, but there was an edge there.

The room was thick with comfortable silence, broken only by Sophie’s soft, rhythmic snoring from the far side of the bed. Leo and I lay there, but we both tossed and turned, struggling to find a comfortable position.

We lay in the dark, the night’s buzz still lingering but slowly fading. The room was warm, quiet, and familiar. Leo shifted, adjusting the duvet, while I lay back, staring up at the ceiling.

After a while, Leo turned, shifting from lying on his back to face me. Our eyes locked in the dim light, and the atmosphere shifted, charged with something deeper. We lay close enough to feel the warmth radiating off each other, the silence stretching between us.

My breath hitched slightly as we stared at one another, uncertainty giving way to an undeniable pull. Leo’s gaze flicked down to my lips, hesitation dancing in his eyes.

Then, as if drawn by an invisible force, he leaned in slightly, closing the distance between us. My heart raced.
