I liked it better than the Rambo films because the villains are more entertaining and interesting, especially John Lithgow, and the mountain environment is cool. Quick trivia fact is that Sylvester Stallone and Michael Rooker would reunite briefly in Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Assassins was another entertaining Stallone action flick from the 90s that was cool, with Antonio Banderas and Julianne Moore.

I'd recommend following up with the movie Daylight, which felt like Sly trying to recapture this same type of magic but... in a tunnel. Where he plays yet another disgraced former rescue expert grudgingly called back into action when disaster strikes.
