Yeah, the theatrical cut is a far better film pacing wise. The extra stuff is interesting, but completely extraneous to the plot. Often, I don't think people appreciate a tight story and not having to explain every little thing to the audience.

2023-03-18 04:11:07 +0000 UTCHard disagree on that. The added backstory with Ripley's daughter makes the relationship with Newt have far more meaning and depth. Especially when Newt calls her "mommy".

2023-02-21 11:11:14 +0000 UTCI prefer the theatrical cut tbh. Just finding Newt in the ruined station is much more suspenseful and the sentry guns scene doesn't really add much to the plot.
