This movie’s quality is way more a testament to Ti West’s talents as a filmmaker than anything else. I love A24, but this is like 85% Ti West 15% A24.

2022-06-07 09:31:49 +0000 UTCA24 really is an exceptional production house. They've been responsible for some of the most creative horror (and drama) films of the last decade. There's always a very strong creative vision behind their films, and they seem to really give directors and writers a chance to stretch out. Although I wouldn't mention them in the same sentence with Blumhouse. Blumhouse (with only a couple rare exceptions) is all about cranking it out fast, keeping the budget low, artistic merit be damned, grab a quick buck. Granted it's a working business model, and a pretty profitable one, but the quality there is pretty questionable. :)
