That lighthouse is on my bucket list of places to visit!

I would LOVE for them to do some Italian gore like Zombie and City of the Living Dead (aka Gates of Hell)!!

You can actually go visit the lighthouse Stevie Wayne's character works at in the film, or you could before Covid. It's a popular tourist destination now, up in Point Reyes, Marin County, California. I went there and walked the 313 steps down to the lighthouse(which is a lot smaller than they make it look in the film). It's usually always foggy there too but the day I went it was perfectly clear. Forgot to talk about the film. I like it, it's probably my second favorite Carpenter film after The Thing, but it's one that grew on me over time. I really do appreciate the subtle details, Carpenter's use of light and shadow in this film. The scene with the 3 fishmermen on the boat when the ghost ship comes and you see the ghosts silhouetted against the foggy background with no music playing and Al whispers "Who is that?" like a scared little kid. It's one of those scenes that's always stayed with me.

The "zombies" went after the original 6 conspirator's family... the Father was the last one... don't you remember what he said? "My grandfather was responsible"....... Now you guys need to do "Zombie" from Lucio Fulci (1979)... it has an unusual ending, but I don't want to say more than that...
