For those of you that have never been, it's flat and yes this is where they set the land speed records. On this afternoon a day or so after a rainstorm it was a little wet. The salt flats are usually damp, but not wet. It's flat as far as you can see and there is a little traffic. One truck went by and stopped a little ways off to ogle the models but they didn't mind. They were quite a ways off even with binoculars. Anoush was fantastic to shoot with, and I couldn't get over her Kiwi accent. She is relatively tiny, and I had to remember to stoop over to not make her look stumpy.
