I felt exactly as strongly as they did, but for Erwin. I was telling Eren through my TV to shut up the whole scene, Erwin was obviously the right choice. But I can see how they would feel the opposite way.

2025-03-11 11:48:49 +0000 UTCBerthold’s reaction to being eaten is so underrated. I can’t get over how realistic it is. When you just woke up - your mind is so much more vulnerable. As he said - he genuinely thought of the scouts as friends and his reaction shows this, I think he wasn’t begging for his life or trying to manipulate them. I think it was just pure “I am in danger, my friends will help me”, he didn’t really have time to remember that they already know that he is an enemy spy, so what came out instead - were his genuine feelings towards them.
