And as you might have noticed, its Kei again, with a slightly different look due to the longer hair. Im always in favor of long hair so I highly approve of this look.
Im super happy with this one overall, and I think its by far the best summer themed pic Ive done. I finally managed to get that bright and colorful look I wanted without anything looking washed out.
Then I also tried some new things with the shading/lighting that I will be using in future drawings. Specifically on the skin, I tried adding some texture the highlights on the rounder areas like breasts, knees or shoulders, and I love how it looks. You do have to zoom in to see it though, but it makes it much more realistic when you do.
It will be more visible in the next post though and I said, its something Im planning on using a lot and improving (dont want to use too much of it either since too much shine is bad).
Another hard thing was the expression, because open mouths are always hard to draw, and even more so trying to do it in a non-sexual away. I went through 5 or so different mouths before finally getting to this. That said Ill be experimenting more with a bunch of things and expressions are one of them so you can expect more of this.
Lastly I wanna mention how important that duck is on the background because its that yellow/orange that makes every other color in the pic pop. Its the reason the pic has such a colorful look as a whole.
Anyway thats it for today, but Ive been back to drawing a lot now so I already have a couple more things lined up. Trying to get a bit of a backlog again so I can go back to posting more often without worrying about running out of stuff to post.

Power ranking, LOL well, Kei looks adorable here so I wont blame you for putting her ahead of mine I will post another one from your top 3 soon, and its one Im also super happy with, so stay tuned On your last point, although I dont have depression thats pretty similar to how I view things... I always try to have something to look forward to, both short and long term, because thats what keeps me motivated Humans are very strange in that, most of the time its not the act of having something that makes us happy, but the thought of wanting something you dont have And this can be anything, from an upcoming game you really wanna play, to travelling somewhere, to eating food you like (or waiting for my next art, lol), it doesnt really matter what it is, as long as you always have something

But nonetheless, it does help me get a basic understanding of the steps you do take, Even if I just know the pencil sketch and the finished picture... Everything in the middle, I might not understand... But to the drawing... I. Love. Kei. I honestly forget my power ranking, not that it's meant to be taken seriously, since points are made up and the results don't matter... They're all sexy, but the spotlight is with Kei, today... Honestly, I like that she's a rather thicker Auri. It suits her and it's real good when compared to your Auri, which is thinner and petite, then Kei, whom is a little bigger, and curvy. I think you get what I'm saying. But aye, the colors, the pose, the shading on her, it's stunning, to say the least. Her long hair tugs at my heart, it makes it even sexier and stunning, but maybe it's the eye cover. it's a thing I love... To talk about the shading, I like how it makes her pop, thankfully not out of her top. *ahem* But it makes it feel just... More real. More alive. I mean, they're all alive in a sense, but the way it looks here... She looks like an actual breathing person. Like someone just took a photo of her in said pose. Love how it makes all her curves just stand out and pop. from her thighs, hips. puckered up belly... breasts… Kei looks amazing. I enjoy how she looks here. Also, I agree with the duck in the picture. Just cutting it off with the scrolling, it looks...fine... But the duck does indeed make her pop even more. And all the colors look brighter... Might be a trick of the mind, but... I enjoy it all the same. Also, she must be enjoying that ice cream pop. I'd like to share it with her. *ahem* Also, to point out something from before... How you attract depressed people, personally, for myself... It's just good to see something beautiful, to kind of find something good in the world to fantasize over, think about, and admire.. You just need to find something to keep yourself out the darkness for too long. And I'm deep in it. But your art, as much as I like to make it suggestive, I do honestly enjoy admiring. The sensual nature of it is a little nice...very nice...very sexy... to bring the edge off most days. Maybe a lot of days... And just having something nice to look at... something good and bright and sensitive and calming to look at... It helps a lot. You might not know it, but you do help a lot... So, thanks. Truly.

2019-08-31 19:00:02 +0000 UTCI cant imagine doing things like that, seems really counter productive since youre basically drawing "blind" in that case, not knowing what the full thing will look in terms of composition and stuff And then if you wanna change something its usually too late, at least the way I work with a lot of layers, changing anything once Im well into coloring is a pain since Id need to change the lines, then the flat colors, then the shadows and highlights and everything on top of that Usually I only do those kinds of edits right at the end once Ive merged everything since then I can just "paint over" anything Im not happy with, but during the whole process its so nice to have all those layers to fall back on in case you screw up (which I do a lot)

2019-08-31 06:47:11 +0000 UTCI really like these progress images, I can retroactively learn how you construct things and perhaps integrate these techniques. Some things can't really be learned, like how to draw organic and natural shapes in interesting perspectives, but the coloring and shading is really great. Personally, I have an issue of not constructing my pictures in phases, and just kinda detailing one area, then moving onto another, and I get really non-uniformed results.
