December Build - Now available to $5 tier!

Hey guys,

Here's the latest build!

Furotic 12.8.2023

This build should work for both VR and desktop users. The game will automatically launch in desktop mode if you don't have a VR headset connected.

See the most recent update for a full list of changes!

VR Controls

Open the menu with the buttons. Pull back on the stick to teleport.

Be sure to add the game to Steam as a non-steam game in your library, or the controls may not work!

Desktop Controls

WASD + mouse look. Esc opens the menu. Hold space to teleport. Left click selects menu items and wiggles the index finger. Right click grips. You can switch between full screen and windowed mode with alt-enter.

You'll need to install the game in Steam as a non-steam game to play even in desktop mode it as it requires SteamVR to be present!

Comments

There's no built-in method for moving the camera up and down yet but if you have VR you can install OVR Advanced Settings in Steam and then you can remap controls to add playspace moving to any VR game. If you're on desktop, you can adjust your scale to move your head up and down, but aside from that I don't have any suggestions.

Furotic

Does anyone know how to move the camera up and down at all? there seems to be no way to properly position yourself beside the characters.

I uhhhh... I use virtual desktop, but it was still pulling up steamvr, so I changed the name of the folder by adding a 1 to it and it... worked? It didn't load anything which made me sad but whatever.

For future reference for others, what I do is disconnect the USB cable for my headset so it isn't detected. You don't need to disconnect the HDMI. If you found a different method though, please share! I don't think just disabling SteamVR works. By the way, I don't recommend disconnecting your headset at the quick disconnect in the middle of the cable. Those connectors are only rated for a handful of uses and my last cable failed because that disconnected a few times. I've since taped that connector up and taped my cable to the floor after it to ensure it isn't tugged on!

Furotic

Nvm I got it

MarkusTheCatDragon

How do I disable the steamvr version? I want to test it out on desktop mode for now

MarkusTheCatDragon

I have no idea what that menu is either, and in my case whenever I try to open the steamVR bindings thing, it says that the "current binding" is just blank and there's nothing there except it should be the default, and if I hit the button to create a new binding, it just gives me an empty screen in VR, and a white one on my desktop so I can't even do that. I'm at a complete loss of what to do now, it looks like it's more of an oculus app/steamVR update issue than anything

PoggerFoxy

Take a look at this post. This user has it running on Quest. They say the B button triggers the menu fine. These menus don't look familiar to me, but I see setting there for the button bindings. It may be worth looking into that. Let me know if any of this helps, there's someone else also having issues. https://bsky.app/profile/puppiedefaye.bsky.social/post/3kiefryhixb2r

I don't have virtual desktop, and it said it was oculus or something, but I tried setting SteamVR as the default for that and restarted everything, and it still failed to recognize any of my inputs :/ it does load into the game though, I see the game and everything, I can see my hands move around too, but none of my buttons work

PoggerFoxy

In your SteamVR settings, what does it say for "Current OpenXR Runtime" under the OpenXR section? Mine says SteamVR for that.

Furotic

It appears others are having the same problem in Quest, not just with my game but others as well. You might try running the game through virtual desktop if you own that.

Furotic

okay update, I tried an old build that used to work, and it just doesnt anymore, no idea whats going on

PoggerFoxy

well that's a shame, I just tried the new build but my controls just don't work at all, I've added the game to my steam library but nope. I use a quest 2 linked to my PC with a cable, and use steamVR that way, maybe it's something to do with oculus dash? It used to work just fine with the previous builds though. Also I'd love to see a female red fox :3

PoggerFoxy

Ok, makes sense, thanks for the clarification

Grip performs the same action as you closing your hand in VR. Right now all that does is move your fingers. The grip functionality had to wait till the penetration system was done, as gripping dicks will work by creating a pass through orifice on your hand.

Furotic

Just a quick dumb question about the controls. In the Desktop version I see right click is grip, is there a grip mechanic in the VR controls? I tried the handgrips, triggers and trackpads but nothing seemed to have that function.
