Catching up on some DBD. There are some additional trailers we react to beyond just the Tokoyo Ghoul and FNAF ones.

Dead by Dayloght Tokoyo Ghoul & FNAF Reaction

Thank you for this context!

Bethany and Ken

Wait. FNAF (a popular game from some years ago) plus an anime… I assume they’re completely different. Haven’t gotten into either. Saw some YT videos back in the day of FNAF. But this is an interesting combo. I also saw some DBD videos years ago, as well. I knew they added different series and universes. But I didn’t know anime was on the table. I’m curious about how they integrate the characters into their already existing game style. That’s a big thing for me with games made from existing IP’s.

Oh and Beth, Ken’s mouth is just a mask, designed by another ghoul. If I remember correctly, mask are used to hide their identity because many of the ghouls try to blend in in society for a variety of reasons, wether (as you guys pointed out) to hunt unsuspecting humans or just try and live a peaceful life among humans.

So yeah! Tokyo ghoul! A weird addition to me as Kaneki is the protagonist and is actively against killing humans (he's basically a human turned into a creature that requires human flesh to live) mind I've read the manga not seen the anime and I know they changed the plot completely for that so it could be that. But he's genuinely characterized as "try to save as many people as I can, do minimal harm, be kind" etc. While he has moments he loses control he rarely hurts humans during them, usually targeting only ghouls. He tries to only feed from suicide victims/other ghouls, think of it like a Blade situation lol. half vampire hunting vampires sort of I'm still really happy with his addition as his character and design are a favourite! But!! You were very right saying the tentacles look like a plant! The thing that causes "ghouls" to exist is based off of fungus oddly enough which is very cool in a horror setting as fungus can be terrifying when acting in a parasitic way

Oh I almost forgot but the reason why FNAF took forever to join Dbd is cause the creator of FNAF, Scott, wants crossover to make sense for his characters. Like people want FNAF in Fortnite, but it wouldn’t make sense for Springtrap to suddenly wield a machine gun and shoot Goku and John Wick in the face. Springtrap is a calculating killer, so it would make sense that a higher eldritch power would want a killer like hims to join him in hunting helpless survivors.

Ash

Also, I gotta point this out every DBD reaction, but this is crazy game where we can have Ada Wong ditch Ash Williams as he’s being chased by Springtrap, while Trevor Belmont sets up a trap on the Nostromo, all while Lara Croft watches this go down with the FNAF security cameras. Crazy, crazy game.

Ash

Ah no drinks this time? But yeah FNAF and Tokyo Ghoul. I won’t say much about Tokyo Ghoul in case you guys ever check it out someday but Kaneki is actually a good guy, which is why many people at first were confused why he’s the killer. A popular theory is that the entity is starving him, and since ghouls can only consume blood and coffee, he goes ape shit and gives in to his hunger and starts attacking innocents, which he comes close to doing in the show. Once in game he was so fun and popular that he is currently the most played killer, surpassing Wesker, who was the most popular killer before, by triple the players. Springtrap is really new so I imagine his official trailer will come out around mid June. He’s really fun and faithful to the games. Surprising, since Springtrap is more of a looming villain rather than a physical killer like Nemesis or the Xenomorph, a mastermind. Can’t wait to see what come next.

Tokyo Ghoul is an anime series! Ken is a half ghoul, half human, turned into a ghoul after a serious accident - where the girl with the purple hair (a ghoul name Rize) tried to eat him, they were both crushed, and her organs were implanted in Ken to save him. He was taken by the entity after being brutally tortured, his regenerative abilities being pushed to the limit constantly, driving him mad. The entity took him before he could regain some of his sanity in the later season, and is now in this state of wild hunger, breaking his own fingers and subjecting those in the realm to what happened to him. Rize, since her organs are inside him, including those tendrils he can burst out of his back, sorta exists still in his head as a strange presence that pushes him to give into his urges as a ghoul, and is a legendary skin in DBD, with new animations and voice lines. In game he can use those tendrils to swing around the map like some kinda bloody cannibal spiderman. Tokyo Ghoul is a pretty crazy series honestly, and gets pretty disturbing at times. Ken is also the first killer in DBD from an anime series! We did get some outfits from Attack on Titan in the past, but this is the first fully fledged anime chapter. I'd love to see more in the future, maybe a full AoT chapter. Also, since that short tease, Springtrap has come to the fog in a test phase prior to the full release. I've managed to try him out, and he's super fun to play and full of fan service and jumpscares. He even has a legendary skin from the movie, featuring the likeness AND voice acting of Matthew Lillard!

Wdym? As in going back to the poll system? We've still been getting random reactions on Wednesdays, so I'm not sure I take your meaning.

Considering we’re already this far into the year, is it best to assume Wild Card Wednesdays won’t be a thing this year? I’m still gonna vouch for the video I’ve been vouching for, but just wanted to ask for confirmation.
