A Change
Added 2023-10-11 17:21:05 +0000 UTCI wanted to share a WIP here with you guys of something I've been working on while contemplating the account name change I'm planning on doing.
I have thought about it so much, and it's taken me quite some time to slowly warm up to the idea. But I know it'll never be easy to do or easy to really settle on any name even if I love it.
I am going to use this piece when it's finished to announce it publicly when I'm ready, but I've also been dying to share the name with more people to get feedback so I thought a WIP here would be the perfect way to do it!
I will no longer be going by Pig, and will instead be going by SepiaFlux! ππ¦
Sepia is the genus name for cuttlefish, an animal that is close to my heart, which I explained here in the description of my sona Sepia's refsheet - and flux meaning fluidity, which I feel is a good descriptor for my art as a whole as my style and content I draw is never the same; always changing! it's my favorite thing about my work.
I love the name Sepia to go by as well, so I really haven't been able to think of any other name I enjoy more than this.
Let me know what you think! Please! and don't be afraid to be honest! I want to make 100% sure of this before I do anything :)

The passing of the torch from name to another. I'm totally for the new name and anytime you want you'll be able to look back at your roots thru Pig and see how far you've come and overcame to who and everything you are now. Here's to the bright and colorful future as SepiaFluxππ

I still love your cute little gremlin creature, and hope to continue seeing them, but Sepia is such a wonderful character, with a unique design, and recognizable name! And any change that makes you happy is a welcome change in my eyes! Looking forward to the future, Sepia!

It carries the same short, rolls-off-the-tongue ease of Pig, but expands out in a way that's more identifiable, and the full name of SepiaFlux will be much more easily discerned by search engines. All in all, I'm ecstatic you've found something you're happy with, and I think it'll be a net positive in the long run π
