Chapter 2: Family Reunion

"If he is anything like you describe, I would love to meet him," the white-haired woman said. She sometimes wonders if she should use her true form, but this was the form she had taken for many years, and it felt natural to be in it. Maybe she would meet Naruto's brother in her true form; it might make him feel more comfortable.

"My brother must be so worried about me, but I can't leave until Christmas comes," Naruto stated. He knew his brother would be heartbroken when he didn't come back home a year ago, but it could help. "He would be so happy and surprised when I tell him the good news."

The green-furred monster was sure this would cause chaos and panic among the people, but to his surprise, the Whoville residents all started to hold hands and sing. Even without their presents, they seemed happy. The Grinch could not understand it, but for some reason, he felt a sadness and loneliness within himself.

The Grinch slowly realized why the people of Whoville could still be happy. It was because they still had each other. Unlike him, who had nobody. His brother was gone now, and he was alone.

The green Grinch could remember the times when he and Naruto would have nothing to eat but they had each other, and that was enough.

"I was going about this the wrong way. If I want to break the people of Whoville, I will have to take away what they care about so they can feel my pain," the green Grinch realized with a crazy look in his eyes. "Don't worry, brother. I am going to get our revenge."

The Grinch got a grim look on his face as he took out an axe from the massive sack of stolen presents. He could imagine a wife buying this for her husband so he could cut down trees or chop firewood, but he had other uses for it.

"I will make them and Santa Claus pay," the green-furred monster declared, gripping the handle of the axe, imagining swinging it at the people of Whoville as they scream in terror, and then he would do the same to the fat bastard, Saint Nick.

Fast Forward

Whoville

Night Time

The Grinch was sneaking around the town with an axe in hand. He had a murderous look in his eyes as the people slept, unaware of the mortal danger they were in.

The furry monster was about to break into one of the houses but then he heard the sound of a sleigh being pulled and looked up to see what he knew could only be Santa Claus with his reindeer on a nearby roof.

The Grinch changed his target to Santa Claus. If he eliminated him, then this Christmas bullshit would come to an end, and he would avenge his brother.

As the green Grinch followed what he assumed was Santa Claus, who climbed up a house and almost fell several times, until he followed Santa down a chimney with an axe in hand.

The Grinch saw Santa leave some presents under the Christmas tree; he used this opportunity to sneak behind the man and swing his axe, aiming to chop off his head.

As soon as the axe got in range, Santa turned around and caught the handle of the axe in his hand. The green Grinch was shocked for more than one reason: one, Santa caught the axe; two, Santa is a blonde man.

"Ethan, is that you?" Naruto asked, looking at his brother, who was trying to chop him up. "What the hell are you doing?"

"Who are you, and how the fuck do you know my name?" the Grinch demanded. He did not know who this Santa imposter was, and how he knew his name, but he would find out.

"It is me, Naruto, your brother," the reincarnated shinobi replied, pulling the axe from his brother's grasp and throwing it to the side.

"Stop lying, you son of a bitch," Ethan growled in anger. He was about to jump at the blonde man when he was enveloped in white smoke, and a familiar yellow Grinch was in his place.

"Brother, is that really you?" Ethan asked as he looked at Naruto, who just opened his arms wide. The green Grinch didn't hesitate and hugged him. "Where have you been all this time?"

"It's a long story, but know that I'm here now," Naruto replied, hugging his brother back, who was silently releasing tears. "And I have someone I want you to meet."

Ethan wondered who Naruto wanted him to meet, but that didn't matter right now. His brother, the only family he had left, was here. Everything else could wait.

This was the scene that Naruto found when he came to deliver gifts to Whoville and to reunite with his brother: all around him were blood and dead or dying people, with a once-green-now-red Grinch in the middle of the chaos.

The Grinch was now chasing down a family of three who were screaming in terror at the sight of the crazy furry monster.

"Well, shit," Naruto said as he watched in morbid fascination as his brother executed the family without mercy. He should probably step in, but to be honest, he never cared for the people of Whoville. They had made his family outcasts. "I will talk to Ethan when he is finished."

It would be hours later when Naruto showed himself to his brother, and at that time, the people of Whoville would all be dead. The two brothers would share a laugh over this, showing how messed up they were, but that didn't matter as they reunited, and Naruto had to introduce his brother to his beautiful wife and child.
