Chapter 14: Tenseigan and Mandalore

Flashback Scene Ahead

Elemental Nation [Moon Base]

Naruto with his Rinnegan activated kept his eyes opened as he and the team of Shikamaru, Sakura, and Sai stealthily made it across the moon base of Toneri Otsutsuki.

The group moves in silence, but Naruto could feel Sakura's eyes on him the whole time. He guessed that she must be disgusted because he was using her precious Sasuke's eyes.

Naruto wasn't completely right in thinking Sakura was feeling disgusted, not with the blonde but with herself. She looked at the cold eyes of the Rinnegan, and it looked wrong for someone like Naruto, who was always cheerful, to have. But she knew deep down that the happy-go-lucky Naruto that was in love with her was gone, replaced by a blonde Sasuke.

"Stay focused, Sakura. The fate of our world is at stake," Shikamaru said when he noticed that Sakura was off in her own world. "We are here on a life and death mission. Get your head out of your ass."

"Sorry," Sakura said lamely, she shook her head and did as Shikamaru said, focusing on the mission.

Naruto and Sai watched their interaction in silence; neither shinobi felt the need to put their two cents in on the matter.

"Someone or something is coming," Naruto said suddenly as he sensed some chakra signatures coming their way.

The shinobi were in a narrow cave with little to no hiding space, so they had to retreat back until they returned to a large place where they could use the shadows to conceal themselves.

The team watched as puppets passed them by, the same puppets that helped destroy parts of Konoha.

The team made sure the puppets left the area before revealing themselves. Without a word, they hurriedly moved before the puppets came back.

Minutes Later,

The team spotted Hinata in a bedroom by herself. She didn't look like herself, dressed in a black dress, and her face was expressionless.

"What did that monster do to her?" Sakura said in anger. She knew that they should expect the worst when it came to female ninjas being captured. Someone like Hinata, who was of a purebloodline and sexy, would no doubt be used for breeding.

Naruto, who was also concerned, used his Rinnegan to look deeper into Hinata and found out what was wrong with the Hyuga princess.

"I don't know if she was touched or not, but the reason she is like a doll is because the Omuu placed the core of one of his puppets within her so he can control her," Naruto said, letting out a breath.

It was not the best news, but it was good news. They all thought that Hinata was broken by whatever the Otsutsuki put her through, but that might not be the case.

"Can you do something to help her?" Shikamaru asked Naruto, who nodded. "Good, then let's save her, but we have to be quick. Toneri might know instantly after we do, but I will not abandon a comrade no matter what."

Sai looked like he didn't agree, but Shikamaru was his superior for the mission, so he would obey. Sakura and Naruto wanted to save Hinata and leave to stop the Otsutsuki as soon as possible.

"Do any of you sense anyone or any traps around Hinata?" Shikamaru asked. While he wanted to save his friend, he also didn't want to put the others at risk unnecessarily.

"I don't sense anything, but more than likely Toneri will know the moment we get close to Hinata, and he will make her attack us," Naruto said as he used senjutsu and the Rinnegan to sweep the room.

"I thought as much. We will lose the element of surprise, but I think it will be better for Toneri to be focused on us than on destroying the world," Shikamaru said in a conflicted voice. He didn't want his friendship with Hinata and Kiba to influence his decision, but Kiba had come to him pleading with him to bring back his wife before the mission, and he couldn't bring himself to want to save his comrade.

"I think that not all of us need to expose ourselves. I will have to be the one exposed, but the rest of you can still stay hidden and find a way to destroy the weapon that Toneri is going to use to attack Earth," Naruto said with a determined face.

"That's not a bad idea," Shikamaru said. He felt proud of how much his friend had matured. "Be careful."

"Thank you, you lazy bum," Naruto joked, making the shadow user grumble about troublesome blondes.

Sakura looked like she wanted to say something, but she couldn't get the words out, so she just gave her former teammate a nod, to which he returned.

Sai didn't really care if Hinata or Naruto were safe. All he wanted to do was complete the mission and eliminate the Otsutsuki as a threat.

Naruto jumped down next to Hinata, and she instantly attacked him with her gentle fist. Uzumaki dodged her robotic movements.

The sage waited until Hinata got close to him and over-extended one of her attacks and struck her in the stomach with a hand covered in golden chakra.

From their hiding place, the team watched in shock as Naruto's hand went straight into Hinata and he pulled out a ball of light, then smashed it into pieces, freeing the Hyuuga.

Hinata's eyes, which were blank when she was being controlled, regained their usual light. She blinked a few times before noticing she was in Naruto's arms.

Hinata let out a loud 'eep' as her face turned red and she fainted in Naruto's arms to his confusion and the hidden team's amusement. Some things never change.

Sakura sighed at the sight. Everyone in Konoha knew that Hinata loved Naruto, even after he rejected her. Even now, with her being with Kiba, they all knew that she would leave him in a heartbeat if Naruto showed any kind of interest in her.

The pink-haired medic pitied Kiba, but then again her love life was just as messed up as his. She was in love with her crazy dead teammate and may have a crush on her other teammate who put down the crazy teammate.

"Why does life have to be so complicated?" Sakura whispered to herself in frustration.

Hinata eventually was able to compose herself enough for Naruto to explain the situation to her. She, in turn, took him and the hidden team everything she found out about Toneri.

Apparently, he is a dependent of the brother of the Sage of Six Paths. His clan had left the Earth and lived on the moon while watching the Earth from afar.

Slowly, the clan started to die out until only Toneri remained. He watched the humans of Earth use the chakra his clan taught them how to use to kill and destroy until he snapped.

The Otsutsuki found a Hyuga who was on a mission and stole his eyes to implant to himself. From what Hinata learned, people from the Toneri clan remove their eyes and add them to a kind of machine. That's what he is planning to use to destroy the Earth.

The eyes that Toneri stole evolved into the Tenseigan, Naruto guessed that it is because of Toneri Otsutsuki's blood and chakra.

Flashback Scene End

Space-Ship Konoha

Naruto's Chambers

Ashoka was looking at Naruto and Ventress with suspicion. She may have been a virgin, but she had seen enough to know what someone looks and smells like when they've had sex, and Ventress stank of wet pussy.

"What were you two doing?" Ashoka asked, eyeing the pair.

"That's none of your business, baby Jedi," Ventress answered with a harsh tone. She was irritated that Ashoka had gotten in the way of her serving her new master.

"Okay, play nice, you two. We are almost at our destination, and I want us all to be on our best behavior. The people there don't exactly like Jedi or Sith, for that matter," Naruto said. He didn't want the two females to start an argument.

"Fine, but you should consider yourself lucky," Ventress said. Ashoka got a furious look on her face at the insult.

"You ungrateful slut, is that how you treat the one who took care of you and begged for your life to be spared after you got captured and interrogated," Ashoka exclaimed. She didn't expect a thanks from the Sith, but at least she shouldn't be insulting her.

"Like I would be thankful to a baby Jedi," Ventress said in a bored tone. "You just did all that on your own so that you could feel like you are the better person."

"We don't have time for this," Naruto said in a serious voice. "I sent back Aalya to reveal all that we found out so far on Darth Sidious, aka Sheev Palpatine. Hopefully, the Jedi Council will be able to put an end to his plan before they start."

To say they were all shocked when they found out the Supreme Chancellor was the hidden Sith Lord would be an understatement. But in the end, it made sense that he was using the war to weaken the Jedi Order and the Republic as a whole, so he could swoop in, kill all the Jedi, and take control of the galaxy.

"Whatever, see if I save you again, you ungrateful bitch," Ashoka said, making Ventress scoff. The former Jedi marched out of the room with her nose in the air.

Naruto heard Ventress curse Ashoka under her breath, but he didn't have the energy to reprimand them, so he just made his way to the control room, with the female Sith following him like a lost puppy.

Cockpit

Naruto sat in his captain's chair with Ventress behind him. Talon only raised an eyebrow at the scene but didn't comment.

They can all see Mandalore clearly through the window of the cockpit. It was an inhospitable planet that had some bad blood with the Jedi, but if they wanted to find out if Death Watch is connected to Darth Sidious, they will have to start here.

"Master, I am getting a message from Mandalore," Talon stated as a projection of a female clad in Mandalorian armor appeared. "So you finally decided to show your face around here again."

"It's good to see you too, Bo-Katan. Your new armor looks good on you," Naruto said.

"How have you been?" he asked, as he remembered the last time he saw Bo-Katan, She was trying to kill him for reasons he would later faint when he heard.

"I am good, but I would be better if I didn't have to see your rot mug for as long as I live," Bo-Katan said. Naruto could feel her eyes glaring at him through her helmet.

"Sister, please invite your guests in. We want to have a civil conversation," a voice said to the side of Bo-Katan. Naruto knew it was Satine Kryze, the ruler of the New Mandalorians. "Bo-Sarah really wants to see him."

"Tsk, whatever," Bo-Katan said before the screen went dark, showing she cut the feed. Instructions to dock were given.

"Well, ladies, it looks like we've got permission to land," Naruto said cheerfully, unaware of the angry Mandalorian female waiting for him on the planet, making both women's presence question his sanity.
