Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

We hope you enjoy the video!

Spartan you are lucky man!!Pudgey is so sweet and cute. And your DARK reactions are just amazing

You guys should check out Netflixs' own DARK website. You just enter what season and episode you are on, and the website gives you a full spoiler free family tree. It is soooo useful https://dark.netflix.io/en/family-tree

Anna Lorentzen

I predicted the Mikkel being Michael reveal back on episode 3, but I will say that the way the supposedly spoiler free website for the family trees is laid out makes it a dead giveaway and is the reason I realized the connection. Even back on episode 3, Michael and Mikkel’s pictures are placed right on top of eachother as if the Kahnwald family grew out of the Nielsen family. Of course the names make it kind of obvious too, but if I had never checked the website I might not have figured it out since the show is in a foreign language and I had trouble remembering their names.

Jonny Rey

Once you to start to draw lines together everything adds up. If Ines has no family, how does she have Michael? In 1986 we see her taking care of Mikkel, thus bringing us to the impossible. You should start throwing out even your crazy theories because you just never know! This is one of the few reveals I guessed before it was shown. Theres lots more to come though.

Julie

Spartan, you've been really on it in this show. In terms of staying disciplined and knocking away distractions

Ammaar Ahmed

FINALLY THE BIG REVEAL!!!

Ammaar Ahmed

@lemmy yup, people just really can't help themselves. It's obnoxious. People realise things at different times, especially in such information-dense shows. No need to spell things out the instant they're possible to determine. Let people figure things out.

TeddyBearBonfire

Yeah he just timed the instructions for reading his letter to mikkel's disappearance, Jonas had been in psychiatric care for months between the two.

lemmy

That's something that's kinda made clear in-show and if it didn't occur to them, it would have been fun as a reaction channel viewer to see them realize on-camera tbh instead of while reading a comment section off-camera ;)

lemmy

Imagine Ulrich figures out the truth and realizes he fucked his kid’s wife 😅

Sarah Stapleton

alright they have it so nevermind 👍🏼

Alex Sage

Tyler Hargrove

You said a couple of times that Michael timed his death with the disappearance of Mikkel, but he killed himself months before. Can't remember if that matters though 😁

also can anybody in the comments tell me (im on episode 2 so dont know yet) if they know about the dark official page? might help them a bit

Alex Sage

just saw you guys are reacting to this and immediately bought that patreon again lmao absolutely amazing series from start to finish.

Alex Sage

I love the ominous music they play when Noah is on screen

Kahnwald

I forgot that Hannah is such a psycho 😩 Not letting Ulrich off the hook ofc but c’mon the guy’s kid is missing and you’re gonna make it about you?

Sarah Stapleton

hahaha we feel the same way!

CpaSpartan Pudgey

Agreed, and moreover, sometimes the [CC] version also robs you of a few seconds in which you might want to guess yourself the source of some background sound/noise, e.g., who may be banging on a door off-screen.

Raga G

What a great reveal, well set up! This is the episode that made me fall in love with this series. The plot twist at the end is amazing and it's the first of a series of incredible and unexpected plot twists. This show has a lot of details and so many intricate storylines which makes the rewatch so gratifying.

Vaelin

How cool that Mikkel rocks up in 1986 and barely bats an eyelash. Oh well the music is kind of cool.

Lyn Hurst

Now you see the sort of stuff this show will pull :D I feel like you've got to the point now where you can see how cool this show is going to be with regard to mindblowing wtf moments :D

lemmy

Bruh the brainpower i'm putting in to try to keep up with this show is evaporting my braincells! But I love it.

Alex Walker

Just as an FYI, MOST of the time, whenever they switch between times you hear a 'tick tock tick tock' sound effect during the scene transition :)

lemmy

When Katarina hugged Hannah you can see her press her nose on Hannah’s shoulder trying to pick up her scent, and when she does she raises her head with a perturbed face because it confirmed her suspicion. If you go back to the scene where she found a strand of hair on Ulrich’s hoodie and then smelled it you can tell she knew something was off. Fast forward to this scene Katarina made that hug move to confirm what she had suspected at the moment.

Wes

This was a fascinating episode. I really like this show. You will learn more. It is really mind blowing having time travel as well as all the events that are also really complex in the current time (2019)

Lyn Hurst

Mind blowing

Vhaxem

You aint seen nothing yet.

James Copeland

AHHH IT'S HEREEEE

lina

Can finally tell Spartan how on point his theories were in the episode 3 intro discussion. His theory that Jonas' or someone else's parents might be the result of time travel shenanigans was brilliant.

imperial

With this reveal the shows prelude is over and it's ramping up from here! Quick warning about Netflix subtitles: it's a pretty common problem that it automatically switches from "English" to "English (CC)" when going from season 1 to season 2. Please make sure "English" is selected when you start episode 1 of season 2. The (CC) version uses the English dub which is way less accurate. I know it's still a bunch of episodes away but I wanted to let you know in advance to avoid the problem of worse subtitles.

Slaizio

The Mikkel/Michael reveal blew my mind the first time I watched the show. The first major moment that sets up the tone for the rest of the show. How cool is it that Mikkel existed before he was born
