Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

You might be right but I'd argue Howard's intentions were pure and he genuinely didn't want to hurt Jimmy, and Kim's intentions were to hurt Howard.

James Waters

I don't think Kim was entirely out of order. I do think However, Kim knew Howard was definitely out of line by going to Jimmy with that theory just days after Jimmy lost his brother just out of guilt. Kim felt that Howard was just thinking about himself not truly trying to understand or empathize with Jimmy's pain, instead using the situation to make himself feel better. I like Howard and don't view him as a bad person but he was wrong in what he did and should've at least had more respect for the bereaved.

Joe Lazarus

Howard did not have bad intentions tho, and us knowing the truth (which that Jimmy caused this mess with the insurance), Howard wasn't at fault, they always throw everything at Howard. He's had enough from both Chuck And Jimmy, even Kim...

Minerva Ravenclaw

I LOVED how Kim unloaded on Howard and I agree with her..I believe Jimmy also knew what Howard was doing hence Jimmy's "your cross to bear" response. Howard was largely trying to unload his own guilt onto Jimmy, even though he may or may not have consciously realized it; by sharing this sensitive information, he goes over to their place to unload his guilt and centers his own mourning over Jimmy's. He goes over there basically to have them console him. Like Kim said, he makes it about himself and then unloads a theory that did not need to be shared at that time.

Joe Lazarus

I think what he means is, there was no nitroglycerin in hectors system, which wouldnt make sense because Gus saw him take some pills during his "fuck eladio" moment in S3 E9. So he now knows the pills were duds. I do also think he is looking at his brain activity report too

Duncan

Holy shit Spartan absolutely nailing the analysis on why Jimmy did what he did at the job interview. I swear barely anyone ever picks up on that. Most people on a first watch are just almost always confused

Sean van Hengel

I disagree about Gus reading a toxicology report. There was nothing toxic about the pills Hector had taken. They were just filled with ibuprofen or something similar by Nacho. Gus would know this because Nacho told Mike about his plan, Mike told Nacho to replace the fake pills with the real pills afterwards, and Mike was already working for Gus. Nacho didn't poison Hector - he just replaced the nitroglycerin heart medication with a non-toxic substance that would not help dilate his arteries in the event of a cardiovascular event. In all likelihood, Gus was reading Hector's brain activity report -- to see how bad his brain damage is, and whether or not the coma Hector was in was something that he would likely recover fully from. Based on his own doctor's opinion and Hector's medical file, Gus felt emboldened to make a move against Hector's crew, and more specifically, kill off the pony tail guy, and blackmail Nacho.

Does Pudgey manage a tanning salon when she isn't reacting?

Arthur

The files Gus was reading was Hector's toxicology report. He saw Hector take pills as he was having his heart attack but it didn't show up on the report. Victor witnessed Nacho throw something over the bridge and Gus realized Nacho is undercutting his efforts to determine Hector's demise.

Timothy

I really enjoyed this and your reactions to it. After watching Arturo suffocating to death, I realized that was what the episode title "Breathe" was about. More like can't breathe. I do care for Nacho, but Gus doesn't give many chances especially when it comes to Hector. . Hector killed Gus's partner, and he will never forget it. Jmmy is in denial with Chuck's death, and it is coming out sideways. It seems when he is angry or upset with something or someone he ends up shooting himself in the foot. Sometimes people can be their own worst enemy. I love Kim's way of being straight with people as she usually does it with finesse, not this time though. I get the points she made with Howard, but she doesn't know the whole story. Howard was wrong in coming to Jimmy on the day of Chuck's funeral, but I do not think he was malicious about it.

Lyn Hurst

This is my favorite depiction of a love relationship in any media

Pablo

Yes, you are correct. This point becomes very obvious in a couple of episodes if you pay attention to some song lyrics. Which they always do so I'm sure they will pick up on that if they haven't already.

Pablo

Pudgey was right about Gus and Nacho, Gus hates Nacho because at this point he doesn't know if Hector will ever wake up or be conscious about anything. So in a way Nacho basically has made Gus's revenge imposible. That's what Gus realized when he looked at the medical scan papers. Basically we can throw a bunch of money and doctors at Hector but god knows if he'll ever wake up, literally it's In somebody else's hands. So Gus being the control freak psycho that he is is like well if I cannot control this situation at least im gonna torture the man responsible for this. oh and he'll also get an inside spy on the Salamanca team in doing so.

Pablo

Something I admire about this show is I don't think at any point so far (someone correct me if I'm wrong), but I don't think Kim or Jimmy has said "I love you" at any point to each other in any of the episodes, yet at no point do you ever question their feelings for one another. I think the portrayal of their love is really interesting, truly a "actions speak louder than words" scripting.

Steven

For me, Kim was way out of order with Howard. I understand it more now cos I'm older, but I remember the first time I watched it I was seething, cos not only was she just dumping everything on Howard unjustifiably, but she was also trying to make him feel bad with stuff she knew wasn't true. She said that Chuck died screaming, a horrible thought, yet in the last episode she says to Jimmy that he died from smoke inhalation so he didn't suffer. I think she broke at that point and because he was a dick to her before, she blindly hates him. I stay to what I've said before, Howard is misunderstood, and I think willfully so by Kim and Jimmy.

James Waters

Kim's monologue to Howard was incredible. There was something so raw about it. Often actors get praised for their performances, but you can still somehow tell it's just a performance. In that scene it's as if someone set up a camera in the room and captured her genuine reactions. I've been on the receiving end of a handful of monologues like that in my life and this definitely brought back some of those feelings. Every cast member in this show is incredible, but Rhea Seehorn is outstanding. It's ridiculous how gifted she is at her craft. Also, a little fun fact. If my math is correct, by watching this episode you officially crossed the halfway line of the show. Crazy to think how much has happened, and how much more there is still to come.
