Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

Comments

Howard "I think I pushed Chuck to suicide" Jimmy "Damn Man. Fancy some coffee?"

Anthony McPartlan

Yes. He lived for his law firm and career then lost it all. He even shunned Jimmy away who I believe he loved. Sad end to a great character.

macc61

I think they know that. They were just stating he has no family or friends to visiting to paint the picture of the situation he was in. They were not asking why. Its not far off what Chuck was going through which makes it so much more impactful.

AlrightThere

It's a weird one but how I like to describe the way Jimmy was acting this episode is "stun locked". Its a term from video gaming and I get it when something bad happens. It feels hard to move or do anything. How he actually feels is another matter entirely I'm not sure. Its a strange coincidence I'm watching this episode with you guys today after literally going to a funeral myself yesterday. It's weird how the world works. Something I noticed this episode which I thought was a nice touch is the music they're playing at the funeral scene is the same piece of music Chuck was trying to play on the piano awhile back. Makes his character feel even more real in that moment.

AlrightThere

I think a lot to do with Jimmy’s reaction to Chucks death comes from the fact that the last conversation they had was Chuck telling Jimmy he never really mattered to him anyway

Sean van Hengel

poor howard 😢

big harsher

This ain't the MCU...people don't walk out of a full on burning fire ;)

Chris B

There was even a short suicide prevention clip before this episode originally aired…if I’m remembering correctly.

Tim Martin

I wouldn't say he was "lifted." That's when he knew it was his fault and instead of accepting it, he tries to pass it off to Howard. Like, "yep, thats the reason. It's definitely your fault, not mine. Sorry bout it."

J_Fley .

I couldn’t figure out what THOURA meant until I got to that point in the reaction and it clicked with your comment which I had read before. Hilarious 😆

Jonny Rey

Honestly your refusal to believe the scene of Chuck killing himself at the end of Season 3 (while baffling) made for a great reaction this episode 😂

Jonny Rey

Chucks death is so surreal. Deliberately kicking the lantern over. It seems that was his final reminder of his relapsing/regressing. Jimmy was sad at the beginning and then numb. As far as Mike is concerned, he was playing his role so it would make sense with the Security Consultant title they gave him. I did feel for Howard. Chuck had been mentally ill for years, but he and Jimmy felt somewhat responsible.

Lyn Hurst

Pudgey is right and Spartan is wrong about Chuck. It was clearly his kicking the table on purpose to end it all. He was tired and indifferent. He gave up trying to get better from his mental condition and couldn't keeping living. That's like someone pointing a gun to their head and they pull the trigger suddenly and thinking it was a spasm of the finger muscle and they didn't mean to do it. Just ridiculous.

Connor W

Great reaction, and officially RIP Chuck. I think Spartan should watch that part again. They’re not involuntary jerks/twitches. He’s voluntarily kicking the table to knock the lantern. He was exhausted, numb, and had enough of it all. I think he just wanted it all to end and live in peace. ❤️

Kai Westbrook

In the beginning, don't forget that Jimmy is Gene Takavic living in Omaha so it's not surprising that "Gene" doesn't have family or friends visiting in the hospital. It was funny too when Spartan says that this may send Jimmy down further then at the end watching Jimmy switch gears in Jimmy like fashion and be upbeat. Pudgey is right that Jimmy feels the burden lifted now that he thinks the insurance was the reason for Chuck starting the fire.

David Cansler

I think Howard telling Jimmy about how he thought it was his fault, let Jimmy absolve himself of the guilt, place it on Howard, and carry on wit a guilt free conscious.

Emily J

Damn jimmy said fuck your feelings Howard lol

🤦 S&P accepting a characters death WTF is this? Where’s the batshit conspiracies I used to know and love???

block

Yeah Chuck committed suicide he was looking at the lantern as he was kicking it, he knew what he was doing

James Waters

Great reaction, end of episode discussion was spot on. One of the only times this series where Pudgey is right on the money instead of Spartan. Yeah Chuck's death was 100% a suicide, man had lost everything he had that was important to him. But Spartan redimed himself with the comments about Jimmy putting that mask on at the end, you can clearly see all episode he was struggling until that very last scene. I think not only was he confortable letting Howard taking the blame for something that he knows he is responsible. But also I think just the thought of being responsible for the death of his own brother was too much for his mind to process so he blocked it instantly.

Pablo

1. Pudgey’s right about Chuck’s death. He was very much aware of his actions, but he also realised that he lost everything around him, including his mind. 2. Spartan is right about Jimmy at the end. His cold reaction to Howard revealing the insurance thing is simply his coping mechanism. He’s unloading his guilt on Howard by putting on the Saul mask. I love the lingering shot of Kim’s face at the end, or her reaction to Jimmy’s line. You can see glimpses of Kim starting to not recognise the man in front of her anymore.

Alex I.

Reminded me of succession's karl response to "We should at least tell him that he's delayed": "oh he's heavily fucking delayed"

Pablo

"Chuck's health is probably at an all time low..." Understatement of the century lol. RIP. It should also be noted that Dr. Cruz told Chuck to go slow because rushing it could have adverse affects as well. I don't know if that was specifically part of it, but I feel that was put out there for a reason.... He's a good man. And THOURA!
