2024-11-24 17:42:50 +0000 UTCBCS is one of my favorite shows (top 3-5) and I think it has great writing, some of the best writing on television, so I really don't think so. I guess it depends on what we both mean by detail in writing I guess. There is insane amounts of small details, callbacks and intricacy in Dark, to the point people find/realize new things from it even on their 5th or 6th rewatch. Personally, I have see no other show do it to that level before, but I'd love to be shown otherwise. My opinion isn't uncommon, but I see you don't want to actually go into the details for whatever reason, and just handwave my opinion and say I am tripping, which seems like a rather convenient way of saying I am incorrect without getting into the minutiae. I find that rather disappointing, and suggests to me a lack of confidence (but maybe I am wrong, I don't want to assume or come off rude/dismissive as that was not my intention), in comparing them in deep detail, its something I would jump at the chance to engage in personally. I think it could have been a fun and interesting discussion to have, but you do you I guess.

Idk if or when they will get around to it but I really hope they do eventually, would love to see their reactions and commentary on it. It really took me by surprise. I'd argue its either the best or in the top 2 best shows of the year. At least of what I've watched so far.

It takes a bit to click into gears, but when it does it is in my opinion, better than even Breaking Bad. A prequel that complements the original so well.
