Alicent don’t make me laugh, She is terribly written, the writers have no clue what to do with her but Daemon is the best and I agree with Aemond and Aegon.

Cole is obviously awful. He just deflects everything. Alicent is by no means a saint. But I am suprised Pudgey goes after her that much. She seems the least problematic person so far.

Are you seriously telling me people with swords can't be overpowered by a couple of armor-wearing guards approaching from all sides? And even if this is risky for their live, what does it matter? It is their job to guard and control that area. Its not 2024; the safety of those guards mean nothing, specifically not if the queen is in the same room. I understand that the Kings Guard stood back; his goal was to stay between his queen and the threat, but not after all the guards went in. My overall point is if you flesh out the surroundings and make all those people act logically or according to their role you create a more believable setting and by that an even more enjoyable experience. But this show does not care about that, it does not care about a good set up for what is happening so it also does not care about details when the thing is happening. Your last comment I can't follow what you mean by it; can you elaborate a bit more?

2024-06-25 16:05:12 +0000 UTCThe show is completely white washing Rhaenyra and making her completely innocent in every aspect and making Daemon seem so horrible but yea don’t understand how anyone can like Alicent anymore and while in this episode Otto was great, let’s not forget that it’s his fault and also It’s good for Aemond’s character to admit he regrets it what happened to luke and I don’t the actor is that skinny in real life though it’s kinda messed up to say he looked deformed bc he looked slim at that angle lol.

The madam gently reminding Aemond what happens when princes "lose their tempers", the long-separated Adam & Alyn worrying about going to war, the Blacksmith Hugh having difficulty providing for his wife & sick child, innocent ratcatchers hanging (probably leaving their families without income), & saddest of all, brother vs. brother with Erryck & Arryk. 2 excellent Kingsguard dead now, accomplishing nothing. The total fucking hypocrisy of Alicent & Cole whining about Rhaenyra for 20 years while doing the SAME thing in the SAME rooms she did WTF. Aegon the Moron making Cole the Hand of the king is the dumbest thing ever. The Hand is meant to administrate the entire realm like a COO. It would be like turning our family's finances & budget over to our teenage son - who thinks of nothing but sports & girls LOL Next level acting in the scenes with Otto & Aegon and Rhaenyra & Daemon. Everyone on this show is great. LOL at Aemond drinking warm milk at the brothel, laying in a round womblike bed, being held like a baby. Mommy issues much?

He's almost like Ramsay level of brutal, yet somehow he gets a pass. Remember when he randomly beat up that messenger too? That moment, when he broke the glass with Rhaenyra and she got scared, was him almost being abusive towards her, something that already happened when he tried to strangle her by the way.

2024-06-25 10:34:03 +0000 UTCDaemon looks cool in his armor and on his dragon and yeah he's a badass in battle, but he's a piece of shit, look at that grin when everyone was talking about Jaehaerys's murder. We don't know exactly what he said to the two killers after his little smirk last episode, and it's a bit annoying that the writers are doing that, like the story is already ambiguous in the books so you would expect the show to make clear choices on what happened, but not for the first time, they pick the ambiguous or accidental route. Thankfully Rhaenyra can see Daemon for what he truly is now that she's an adult. Yeah Otto knew that Viserys never meant for Aegon to be King, when Alicent announced it to him last season, you could tell he thought it was bs. I'm in nobody's team. Even though Rhaenyra would be the better ruler, the situation is so messy I don't know if it's worth it, and had Aegon been better prepared who knows how he would have been. Honestly HOTD is kinda depressing to watch, it's very well made, amazing visuals and acting, but I can't say I have found much pleasure watching these two episodes. GOT was dark, but it had that energy and humor, those colorful character and a sense of adventure, but this is so bleak...

2024-06-25 10:28:59 +0000 UTCI am not yet extremely hooked on that show, but it is alright. I am not much of a fan of fast resolutions. Assassination of one son? Sure, let's do it right away. Strike back with the twin. Sure, let me resolve that right away. Also, how they depict it in the end with the twins walking through the castle was very cheaply done to convey confusion and how he could succeed. I have no problem with the plan; I think it's solid, but it can't be a surprise for anyone, and they made it so that everyone is an idiot, because that's the only reason it works. The ideas are all right, but lackluster in execution. Why the queen just did not walk out of her chamber during that fight was also stupid, specifically after her other guard arrived. Those scenes somehow appear weak or shallow for me. Why does the king's guard not command the soldiers to apprehend the two brothers, like the guard should, and take control of the situation? If you want to let them play out the fight, find a better setting for them to meet or have one of the others, like the queen, say something like, "no, let them settle it." Whatever, but give others the agency they should have, makes for a more believable setting. I also liked that the one brother fall on his sword, I would assume that was the assassin, recognizing his fault by killing his brother, no idea, did not read up on it, but again, the execution of that was lackluster - not a single gaze from him or anything to show his thinking and give it a bit more emotion or meaning. Good idea, lackluster execution, like pretty much everything in this show. A bit like fast food GoT, a quick serve of some mediocre resolution. I can live with that because I overall like that universe, and I'm happy if we get more in that setting, but it is not very good or captivating at all for me. Not one moment was so smart and so well executed that it swept me away.

I also agree about the Damon thing...I really dislike him and I'm usually all for the badass warrior types either good or bad but Aemond fills that role, but there is just nothing good about him in my opinion...he's almost not even fun to watch as a villain lol. Having said that, I am REALLY not a fan of the Team Green vs Team Black marketing mess. I just enjoy the story as a whole and seeing the lengths people will go to in order to claim the throne.

I'm neither team green nor team black, but I find the green side much more interesting and have far more "sympathy" for them. But that's what makes this series so exciting in the end, everyone has their own thoughts about it, and that's a good thing🤗
