Full Length Reaction Guide
We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync. The main difference is that Portugal is also up to similar things, like that secret base in Macao for example, which of course they leave out. His mission was explained quite clearly in episode 1 and 2. -Set out for the Japans. Find it, establish trade and alliances to compete against the portugese monopoly on those things. -Burn, kill and destroy any portugese ships and coastal bases and hurt the Portugese in whatever ways you can as you come across them on the journey. Like John said, the two nations are warring, and Japan caught in the middle, with respect to trade, political and military alliances, is the ultimate treasure in this context.

2024-05-02 02:06:06 +0000 UTCIt was always meant to be a 1 season show. It actually did extremely well in both reviews and viewership. The show ends where the book its based on ends. The original tv series was actually only 5 episodes, whereas this one is 10 episodes. The creators of the show and Saneda (Toranaga's actor) have said that they would potentially do a continued story with a second season if there was enough fan support of it and they could write up something good enough to maintain the quality, but that would be their own doing as there is no book to adapt so they would be more reliant on dramatizing the real world history of the characters, as opposed to a mix of the book story and the real world history like with this season. The author of this book wrote other books, but they are different locations (China etc.), time periods, characters.
