I remember he had them in season 2 and now he doesn't. Apparently, those were dentures. More and more people kept asking about his condition and he and the Duffer Brothers are using his lack of teeth, no collarbones (which they mention at times) to promote awareness to help others who have this condition feel more accepted. Apparently, there are problems with the skull structure too. I love that Gaten and the Duffer Brothers use their platform to raise awareness.

I like all of the seasons but, Wow season 3 gives us Robin....Also the girl friend thing is a gag on the "I have a girl friend but she lives in canada" trope. Couple that with his failure to get a dance last season with girls his age help lend to the trope as well. The trope usually applies to the person who struggles/fails to find a partner locally. I thought Mike was annoying in season 2 also and it does continue here, but he was always my least fav of the boys.

Season 3 and 4 are both absolutely insane! I'm so excited for you guys. Also, I don't know if anyone's explained Dustin's teeth, but Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin's actor) has Cleidocranial dysplasia so his teeth aren't lost/grown normally. I believe he's had multiple sets of fake teeth and that's why he has them and then doesn't in the show. Also, if you remember the bullies telling Dustin to do the "arm thing" that they thought was gross back in season 1, his ability to do that is because of his condition. Hope that makes sense!

So you keep asking about Dustins teeth. Actor Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) was born with cleidocranial dysplasia, which is incorporated into his character Dustin Henderson's storyline on Stranger Things. It affects a bunch of things, including bones, teeth, some facial features, and so forth. Its also why he was weirdly flexible/able to "dislocate" his arm or whatever it was in season 1. S3 is genuinely bad, this isn’t like s2 that’s actually good, imo the writing while not as bad as Game Of thrones s8 , it’s not super far off..First of all why don’t they believe that Dustin has a girlfriend, why would your friend that you’ve known for soo long and been through soo much with lie? Why does Hopper become a cartoon character with how over the top angry he is constantly, genuinely is unrealistic and Mike becomes one of the most annoying characters in the show while he was great in the first season and also there’s no way y’all are questioning bob’s death like honestly it’s ridiculous at this point lol but why do y’all hate Ted soo much more than Karen who literally flirts with an underage guy and while Ted can be annoying if you take him too seriously , I think the writers meant for him to be more comedic.

I love this intro for the season. It is a nice change of vibe, the crew just trying to live normal lives the audience starting to see the kids are not really kids anymore, but teenagers! 😅 the friend group dynamics change as interests change, and as you grow up, that’s realistic and I appreciate the show capturing that really well. The exploding rats 🤢 grosses me out so bad every time lol.

yeah, Mall courts exploded in the 80's. so Hawkins seems kinda lively and a social hub now...or at least, at the mall. I love Lucas' little sister Erica. Mikey is my least favorite of the boys. Purely my tastes and opinion. and this episode confirms it. i get teen angst and hormones...but he is not a warm and welcoming personality. even Max is more welcoming than Mikey lol.

I love that the writers have been able to move the kids forward closer to adulthood but still find a way to keep them together. Also, Even though it's so different from season 1 & 2, It is true Stranger Things at heart. I'm excited to watch you two go on the journey dealing with character personality changes! I love season 3. I was a mall rat in the 80s - more like late 80s but the vibe was there. The B's do have it. Bernie, Barb, Bob... This season is great with different stories going on with the kids, the older kids, adults, new characters. I can't stand the men that work at the Hawkins Post and how belittling they are to Nancy. The show Joyce was watching was Cheers - Fraser Crane got his characters start on there in the 80s. Sad seeing Joyce missing Bob Newby superhero.

And this seasons finale is up there as one of the best for me. 💕 Re ‘Dustin’s’ teeth, the actor Gaten has Cleidocranial Dysplasia (CCD), “a rare genetic condition that affects bone development, especially cranial bones, collar bones and teeth. Adult teeth often emerge late or not at all.” They wrote his condition into his character (which is mentioned in season one). I know he had surgery in 2020 (so after season 3) to remove excess teeth as he posted about it on Instagram to raise awareness. So I think it was the same here and is related to his condition 😊 xx

I can't believe we're finally at season 3! I really like the way the seasons always start by showing how life is going for the characters. I love seeing the kids have grown up, it's really fun to see this phase of adolescence and romance. Mike was honestly disrespecting Hop and I think it's a good thing he established some authority. It's sad to see that Joyce is still mourning Bob and clearly isn't ready to move on. I can see how these relationships are affecting the group's friendship but it's understandable at this age. Pudgey, I never really connected the deaths to people with the letter B, well spotted. Great reaction as always, you have no idea how excited i am to get to the next episodes
