You'll appreciate this since I'm gonna be building your undead character for the Akumiverse.
It's time to build an updated system for the Akumiverse starting with the character models. It doesn't mean these won't change over time like my art style always does. But having a foundation means I have a starting point everytime I have an new idea. After the character models, I'll work on systems for: FX, background and even scene setups
Drawing my hyper lanky, thin character style is fun for pinups but makes animating much more difficult. It's harder to animate quickly with art pieces you can barely select with your pointer. :P So I tried to find a happy medium which created almost a "Frozen-esk" looking character model. 5.5 heads tall so it'll be easy to fit full body animations in to a frame and still see recognize facial expressions.
I want to go back to my simple 2-3 shades of color. Hair will be solid flat shapes but that doesn't mean extra details can't be implemented for some shots. If you remember "Ren & Stimpy" painted cells.
Akumi Female Model Base coming tomorrow. After that maybe some models other body types: heavy, muscular, tall, short.
