Let’s Talk About the Download System

Hey everyone, I need your thoughts on something important.

As most of you know, we’ve been using the community chat for a while now. I originally chose that format to keep everything secure — your support means the world to me, and protecting the content I’ve spent months working on is a top priority.

But no matter how hard I try, keeping things organized in the chat has been really difficult. Comics get buried, and when people comment, the download links sometimes disappear or get lost. Since it's just a chat, I can't create proper topics or sections for each comic, which makes navigation frustrating.

The only reason I kept using the community chat was to keep everything as safe as possible. But I know it made the experience worse for many of you. That’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot. I’ve spent time learning how to use the Patreon API properly, and I’m finally at the point where I can offer something better.

So, we’ll soon have our own private URL shortener. When you click a link, it will simply verify your Patreon membership tier via the API. It doesn’t collect any personal data beyond that. If you’d like, you can check the Patreon API documentation yourself.

I’ll be honest — I still feel unsure about this, especially since it adds an extra browser step for mobile users. But I hope you understand my position. It’s really painful to see something I’ve worked on for months being spread for free. Still, your incredible support makes that pain almost disappear.
