Patreon just gave me the chance to update my homepage, and of course I took the opportunity to refresh the cover image too! 🎨
And yes… that new cover is a little preview of the upcoming chapter, which is now just around the corner! 👀

Oh, you’ve probably noticed it already, but all my covers contain some foreshadowing about the next chapter. I wonder what I’m hiding this time :3

But let’s talk a bit about the next update, shall we?

I’ve poured my heart and soul into this chapter, and the results are absolutely stunning. Without a doubt, it’s my new favorite one so far and that’s all thanks to YOU and your constant feedback. 💪

Here are some notes and insights from me:

🔥 1. Better pacing and focus:
In the previous chapter, some of you mentioned that too many long-distance conversations made things feel slower. This time, I’ve drastically reduced phone scenes in favor of more face-to-face interactions.

👀 2. Multiple POVs:
You’ll experience the story through the eyes of Alex, Sierra, and Anna, each perspective will reveal new emotions and consequences.

😱 3. Optional Jumpscares:
Yes, there will be a few jumpscares in this chapter for the bravest players. But don’t worry! You’ll also have the option to disable them entirely if that’s not your thing.

🎬 4. New Animations (NSFW & SFW):
Several animated scenes are coming your way, including the final one, featuring Anna, which I’m currently polishing to perfection.

📝 5. Almost done writing!
I’m just a few lines away from finishing the dialogue script (which is even longer than the previous one, making this the biggest chapter so far!).

💡 6. Major narrative evolution:
This chapter goes beyond the halfway point of the story. You’ll see major character development and tons of hidden scenes that depend entirely on your past and present choices.
For example: Sierra will face an unpleasant surprise, and the outcome will depend solely on your actions.
Pro tip: create at least one extra save slot to explore all the available paths! Some of them will truly expand the world I’m building.

🌌 7. A magical finale:
The ending will be powerful and emotional… though, as always, you’ll probably hate me a little when Chapter 7 isn’t immediately ready 😅

💀 8. No turning back:
Once you reach the end of this chapter, you’ll have everything you need to fully understand the morality, desires, and true intentions of each main character.
No new characters will be introduced, it’s time to deepen the stories of those you already know.

In conclusion: this will be my last post before the official release date announcement of MGNK 0.6 – Glowing in the Dark 🌙
